Yes a good domain is also a good investment. The problem is, the the most good names are already taken.

I don't think is a good investment ,who will buy a domain if he has a lot of alternatives as .net ,com,org,rocks,trust etc?

The ones that can afford it and want it, the .com domains are most expensive i think.
