I got 2 laptops and in none of them i was able to get reaper to compile my files:
The first one, my main laptop, i always get this error:
i5-2430M, with Nvidia GT 540M
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/812/laptop1.png/

And the second laptop: The Amd SDK 2.3 was installed
i5-430M with Ati mobility radeon 5470

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/571/laptop2b.png/

Both laptops have latest drivers and the visual studio c++ 2010 pack installed.

Any suggestion what to do to install this, any other drivers required?

Did you extract the .zip file to it's own location? I can make a video tutorial if you want Smiley.

If you have the time and ability, please do.  I can't understand why my 5870 won't work, but my 5850 will.

It does compile itself, but I think it was setup in mind for a very select few specific cards.

The program is just buggy at best, and not many developers are interested in LTC yet.  Seems like the SC people wanted to crash the LTC market.  This whole ASIC taking over bitcoin thing is probably gonna skyrocket the love for LTC among casual miners like me. (The sub $10k group = most of us)  ASIC's are such a gamble right now.  You might as well just play poker.  It won't take 6 months + for you to lose all your money.

I'd give you 250 LTC for a Video Tutorial posted on Youtube to show newbies how to get reaper started and mine with GPU's. It would be fantastic for the community.

No need for the Litecoins, if there's demand for the video I'd be happy to make it Smiley.

Will record right now... Smiley

I honestly have no idea, I was in a rush to get that posted cause I had to go lol. I'm gonna start a little series on getting started with Litecoin, so I'll probably re-make that video...

unzip the source, run the build script (cmake-linux.sh), profit! Is it that hard to read the readme?

That would lead to something else being wrong, like the location of the amd app sdk or something not being linked. But I have it working fine on a standard desktop and a BAMT install.
