You could win with as little as 2 matching numbers and 0 matching star numbers (users select 5 numbers and 2 star numbers per ticket bought).

the idea and structure looks interesting but the problem is the fact that there were plenty of bitcoin lottery sites (and few threads in this section too in the past to manually do lotteries) and as far as I know those existing barely had any activity.

Much like euro-millions.com where users pay xBTC per box (5 numbers and 2 stars must be chosen). As many boxes can be purchased. Of course they will be purchased though the blockchain (embedded messages in TX IDs) to ensure validity and reliability.
Numbers range from 1-50 and stars from 1-9.
A draw occurs and tiers include:
5 Numbers and 2 Stars
2 Numbers and 0 Stars
(and all combinations between)
Each tier would payout differently (5 Numbers and 2 Stars being the jackpot).
The prize pool would likely be above 5BTC.
Thoughts?
im interested, lets try some luck in 2015 how about some pool about the ticket price?  EDIT : ticket price should be low enough to gather more partcipant lets say 0.005 - 0.02 / ticket |

Honestly I didn't like lotteries very much so I'm not interested in purchasing a ticket, but I think Bitcoin lotteries might be nice because it can be all based on blockchain, so to ensure fairness and validity.

Most people wouldn't think twice about buying a ticket since it isn't a lot of money. 0.01 could be around two meals where I come from. I wouldn't really trade that for a very small chance at winning a lottery. |
