yes it will replace fiat
you can find a lot of merchants accepting this for payment where they were accepting CC or other methods only in past
its on the way to be an alternate to fiat, its currency of future

A replacement is something entirely different than an alternative.

If it does ever even come to this, it'll take a long time. Regardless of speculation, I don't see fiat disappearing anytime soon.
We would need to get the fiat supporters down as first and take power intou our own hands as people not the 1% of rich.

The only online casino on which i won something. I made 17mBTC from 1mBTC in like 15 minutes.  This is not paid AD!

yeah but so far all you can do with bitcoin is probably travel (Expedia), buy computers (dell, newegg) and furnitures (overstock) (USA, i live in USA)
come on, lets be realistic.
im a bitcoin fan too but for a such technology, 2014 was very disappointing.
If this continues, bitcoin is nothing but just an investment tool for people in year 2013/2014

I predict bitcoin will begin replacing fiat around 2040.

I have absolutely nothing to back up this statement.

In the sense that they're investments. He's analogizing, and if you read the article that he hyperlinks, you can see why

I have absolutely nothing to back up this statement.
Some people believe in the world ending in the year 2014, some believe in a magical baby being born, I believe in bitcoin taking over fiat.

I mean, something had to be fucking true sometime...

Personally I prefer the word "investment" to be dropped altogether or even in any way associated with bitcoin. It's causing all the price volatility and that only ends up attracting people looking for fast and personal gain rather than seeing the coin succeed.
