Too bad you are closing this site.

Just a quick question: I just placed a withdrawal for roughly 2.55 btc. Now there is no history or whatsoever that I placed this withdrawal, even though the funds are already taken from my account. (I have not received the btc yet, address 17MmSZaU5UJgQHxUZcWBNAXpgh5DEYePok).

Can I be assured that I will receive my coins?

Yeah, sent. Hot wallet was a bit low after all the withdrawals.

I'm only checking emails/hot wallet 1-2 times a day now so people should allow up to 24 hours for a reply.

Thanks
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

It's a shame to lose one of the most trusted Bitcoin dice sites, but I fully understand why you would want a break from it.

Thanks for running the site honestly and not losing or stealing everyone's money. Smiley

Thanks Wink

No problem, received the coins already, thanks!

Maybe it's an idea to add a status page for current withdrawals?

Only 17 people still have more than 0.1 on there so not really a need I don't think.

Any reason you wouldn't sell the site like you originally planned to?

My guess is that it has something to do with the recent security breach

Nothing to do with the security breach. That was just a little thing that is part of the job.

I would sell. I posted on he page for sales enquiries email.

Though I would sell for cheaper than the total ICO valuation I'm not going to sell real cheap just because it's closed.
I'm not desperate for money Wink

Offers would still need to be 4 figure Bitcoin or 7 figure £.

There's no point arguing here or discussing what you personally thing it is worth, that's my price and it won't be lowered.
BetKing is still worth a lot to me because if all else fails I can re-open BetKing in a year and pick up where I left off.

Happy new year.

Haha...not to mention the ICO valuation is peanuts compared to it's actual worth. Though the high kelly does throw a bit of a wrench into the mix

Retiring some old email accounts including support@betking.io
Don't send anything there, I won't get it.

Will still leave admin@betking.io active if you need to get in touch for whatever reason.

It's really "bad" to close a good and trustful site like BetKing.io
I am sure though that Dean knows what he is doing and for what reasons he do it. Cool

Hope to see it up and running again from an admin/owner like Dean, good luck man.

You luck his site very much? or you like his site very much?
Open 2 previous page and you will found the reason why Betking.io closed
Sucks to hear that you will be closing. Any chance I could know the reason you have decided to close?

It's been almost 4 years I've worked on BetKing.
I've done it mostly by myself except from some help here and there but the majority of the time it has been me that deals with development, marketing, promo, support, security, looking after others funds, dealing with abuse Wink etc

Almost every other dice site has more than one member of staff, at least some support staff.

I wanted to make BetKing the #1 Bitcoin gambling site for dice, casino, sports and poker.
It's going to take far too much time on my own to get there Smiley (I had a lot of devs let me down over the past 2 years too slowing things down a lot)

The reason I tried to sell shares during the ICO was to raise funds to hire the right people to actually try to make this happen.
But we failed to raise the funds needed. Mostly due to bad timing with it being the end of year and Bitcoin price rising fast and a not so well thought out pitch Smiley

I also gave away between 3-400 Bitcoin in promos, prizes etc and made what I feel is the best dice site that is easiest to use over the past 2 years.

But apparently according to the stats on some sites not everyone agrees Wink

BetKing is very profitable and I have made good money off of it but I'm not the type of person to settle for being #2 at something.
It's a very unhealthy obsession that has started effecting my daily life off of BetKing which isn't good Smiley.
I could leave it open and neglect it and still make a very good living but I wouldn't be happy with that.

So I've decided to close instead.

I've not decided what I will do instead but I know I'll be taking a long break after everyone is cashed out.

Thanks for everyone who gave support over the years.

Nope, i don't think its all about the ico and as stated in quoted message you can actually find the real reason behind their closure, and its totally bad to see them closing since betking is a successfull site at the first place, but we must respect the ownere decision since he was a good person for giving a good exit and doesn't scam people who i mostly see on other site.

Getting a lot of people asking for this on Skype/pm etc

So here's a poll to check interest

https://www.strawpoll.me/12315257

Do you want BetKing to open back up?
- Yes - Now with same software + invest option
- Yes - New software (open around august-october)
- No - Smiley

I've had a month and a half break and looked at other projects and nothing really jumps out as things I want to do for next 3+ years.

I'm leaning towards the middle answer, create new software in own time and get it perfect and exactly how I wanted it then launch, stress free.

Launching the same product now would mean new software would take even longer to finish due to supoprt and running the site and it doesn't provide anything new just putting the site back on.

What do you think?

If you're going to come back I'd say go with the new software. If you decide to re-open the old site what's there to stop you from coming to the same situation you were before closing the site. Atleast a new site would feel much more like a fresh start.

Just my opinion.
