Nice find their and am sure will be interesting to see how this progresses into the future. I did hear of something like this been done last year with Bitcoin in space. Will have to see how this progresses and unfolds. The only problem is tho if their going to try and act or be acting as a crypto bank then what happens if that gets hit by a space storm or hit buy a meteorite knocks it offline and moves off earth's atmosphere. Then all the coin that it holds is gone into space never to be seen again. In some ways I do like the idea of it but in others I do not.

That's true I hope they figure out some kind of redundancy so coins can't get lost in space forever. I like that Ian Angell, Emeritus Professor at the London School of Economics and a co-founder of SpaceBIT, is available for interviews. Seems to be a serious project.

I think if they can provide some sort of back up procedure that all their wallets are backed up on like paper wallets with private key to them then should be fine and can easily recover from it too. Only time will tell with this project but it looks to be an interesting one to say the least.

Yes that's true shouldn't be too hard to implement secure backups with a paper wallet or something similar.
