Hi,

In my country, the cost per kW is 0.22
Let say I'm using antminer S4, 1.4kW
Can you tell me how to calculate power consumption?

I have searched in the internet to find the formula but no luck.

You can calculate power consumption with the following formula

Power Usage in kW * 24 * Power Price = daily power cost

So your power cost per day would be as follows:
1.4 * 24 * 0.22 = 7.392

You can calculate power consumption with the following formula

Power Usage in kW * 24 * Power Price = daily power cost

So your power cost per day would be as follows:
1.4 * 24 * 0.22 = 7.392

correct me if I'm wrong

for antminer S2,

Daily usage = 1.4 * 24 = 33.60 kWH
Monthly usage = 33.60 * 30 = 1008 kWH

This is the tariff that I get from my energy service provider website:

1) First 200 kWh (1-200 kWh) per month: (200 * 21.80)/100 = $ 43.60
2) Next 100 kWh (201-300 kWh) per month: (100* 33.40)/100 = $ 33.40
3) Next 300 kWh (301-600 kWh) per month: (300* 51.60)/100 = $ 154.80
4) Next 300 kWh (601-900 kWh) per month: (300* 54.60)/100 = $ 163.80
5) Next 901 kWh onwards per month: (108* 57.10)/100 = $ 61.67

Usage = 1008 kWH
Total = $ 457.27

Yes, that's correct.

mining is not for you!

i have contacted datacenter sales person.
they said, they provide 1.5kW power per rack.
any extra usage, they will charge $130 per 0.1kW

so, in this case.
antminer s2 need 1.4kW to operate
1 month usage is 1008kW

1008kw * 1300 = $1,310,400.00 Huh?
wowwwww

do I miscalculate something here?

Yes, you did misunderstand.

Data center provide 1.5kW without extra charge, your S2 need only 1.4 kW. So no extra charge.
Your monthly power usage is 1008kWh (with "h") not 1008kW   Smiley
