By Google trends, search interest in geocaching seems to have peaked in 2006
https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=all&q=geocoin,geocache but follows a clear cyclical pattern with the last trough in December '16.
A person who studies charts might look at the short term peak in July '16, higher than the previous peak in Aug 15, and the first 'double peak' that very distinctively favors the second peak, and say the trend is ready to turn up.
It would be interesting if geocoin were to coincide with this upturn.

I have never tried geocaching, nor tried to use the wallet and have no idea if the technology is real. And if it is real, and the wallet works, I have no idea if there is or isn't some other terminal flaw in this project. Everything looks good, and the coin does look cheap, but a person should research and test the project to the best of their ability/interest. It seems odd that the coin is so cheap and there may be some reason for that.
