If I move GEOcoin from Yobit to GEO wallets today, can I manually swap to UBIQcoin later?
Or is GEOcoin of Yobit obsolete now?

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Currently, Yobit owns GEOcoin.
If I move GEOcoin from Yobit to my wallet right away, can I manually swap it later?
Or is GEOcoin on Yobit now obsolete?
GeoCoin on Yobit is now obsolete as it is beyond the snapshot block and is considered developer abandoned.

You can now mine Geo and more than 130 coins at new autoexchange mining pool Zergpool.com at 0% fee now. Please use following commands for different mining options

Option 1 Auto coin switch by profitability within algorithm with payment to wallet
Code:
-o stratum+tcp://zergpool.com:4733 -u <YOURBTCWALLET> -p c=BTC

Option 2 Direct coin mining to coin wallet
Code:
-o stratum+tcp://zergpool.com:4733 -u <YOURGEOWALLET> -p c=GEO,mc=GEO

Option 3 Direct coin mining with autoexchange to specified coin wallet
Code:
-o stratum+tcp://zergpool.com:4733 -u <YOURBTCWALLET> -p c=BTC,mc=GEO

Please note mc stands for mining coin symbol, c stand for payout coin symbol

 Happy mining,
  cheers pinpin
Please do not setup a new mining pool for the original POW blockchain which is now developer abandoned.

Yobit users were warned to withdraw their coins prior to the snapshot.
You will not be able to withdraw from Yobit to Bittrex or Cryptopia as you have missed the deadline.
You will not be able to withdraw to a GEO wallet today and participate in the manual swap as the balance did not exists at the snapshot block taken at block # 1568125.  Only balances that existed at the time of the snapshot will be credited to the Ubiq Network.
GeoCoin on Yobit is obsolete as that blockchain is now considered developer abandoned.

Hey guys, sorry I did not reach out directly to any mining pools.  I tried to inform the community as much as possible prior to the markets being paused and the snapshot block being taken.

My methods of communication are typically Bitcointalk, Twitter, Facebook, Slack, Discord and YouTube.

All the balances mined on the GEO POW chain up until the snapshot will be credited over to the Ubiq Network.  If you missed the on exchange swap supported by both Bittrex and Cryptopia, you'll have to use our manual swap claims process which we will be setting up shortly after the new token is live.  The process involves "Signing a Message" with the GEO desktop wallet to prove ownership of the account.  You will also need to provide your new GEO Token address from the Ubiq Network and the cryptographic signature.  These 3 elements will then be sent via a Google Form and be processed on an individual basis.

We're currently working with the UBQ developers and the exchanges to get the new token live and running.  This process will take some time and I'll be sure to post back here and on some of the other channels above when we are online once again.

I hope that helps answer some of your questions.  If you have any more questions, just let us know, thanks!
So i can mine GEO normally, right?
Please give me discord invite link please.
No, the POW mining phase of GeoCoin has now ended with this blockchain upgrade.

Here's the invite link to the UBQ community discord.  Please follow the instructions in the #welcome channel, upload an avator photo and ask to be verified.  Then look for us in the #geo channel.

I am not particularly happy that people lost coins belonging to the original chain, they were still rewarded during PoW phase and they did exist, but without option for people to sign message on top of them (yobit has it...). Althought I understand devs approach to exclude them.

As far as my research goes it seems Yobit has about 16113 coins (https://chainz.cryptoid.info/geo/wallet.dws?41504.htm) as of time of writing.

Why don't dev reach to Yobit support and handle the swap?
Yobit has listed every Bitcoin fork there is, and non-existent ones as well.
Don't see the reason not to participate in Geo swap.

when can we get iOS?
Our main focus at this point in time is getting through the swap and getting the exchanges back up and running smoothly.

Can't hardly wait for GEO to come back online; many thanks to the Dev team.

Sad Story: I had 1208 ZCL (paid $5) in my Wallet in mid Dec. and stupidly took my 30% profit at $6.50 and thought I was such a good trader (I forgot the part about letting your winners run).  Well, it's not gonna happen to me again.

Both ZCL and GEO have abt 3Mil coins, so I don't see any reason GEO won't run up to $100-$200 or more by Summer time.  Remember, Company value, or Market Capitalization = # of Coins x Coin price.  So with only 3Mil coins, this could go up to $100 and ONLY be a $300Mil company, and that ain't shit in today's world.  We could literally see these go to $500 in a yr or two; that's 100X!!

With the obvious similarities between GEO and Pokemon Go, you gotta think this will moon with a little exposure.  Imagine how excited people will be when it hits even $50, and they discover they can pull up a GPS on their phone and go find some real money, peeps are gonna be all over this.  Buy yourself a cpl hundred bucks worth or more and tuck it away, you'll be happy you did.

Full disclosure: GeoCoin   GEO   996.73418934

So also for this who have GEO on Poloniex. Did they lose their GEO? That is pretty sad.

The blockchain continue growing since there are people still mining it. But the chain is abandoned by the devs, the exchanges... So the GEO coins of this blockchain after the block 1568125 doesn't have any value.

It is pretty sad, Poloniex have been a real let down with some of the coins they de-listed. They seem to have just stopped caring about low volume markets.

Hello people!

Im looking at GEO after this post from experienced investor on tradingview : https://www.tradingview.com/chart/GEOBTC/Y6yBXKvA-GEO-In-a-world-with-1-Billion-Dollar-Dreams/

I think the idea is great, no comment on that : thumbs up to the team for this.

BUT, there is a big but, some buts actually.

1. App design & Traction
After three  years of work, at the moment, the Android apps does not have so much traction and a poor design, not so much happening on it. I would be OK with that if project was 1 year old, but it's not the case.

2. Website/Team  Credibility : Marketing
Website does not show any white paper, not even the team : who are the devs, how many are they, what's their past experience. A little bit of marketing would be great. Being great devs is enough to create an app, but taking a project to success as a company is different : it needs structure, process, a vision. Not only technical skills. I hope these basics of entrepreneurship are not neglected by GEO team.

3. Structure & execution : having a great idea is not enough
There's a say in my country when it comes to entrepreneurship/startups : "all is execution" meaning an idea is far away from being enough. What's hard and what brings you success is the ability to drive a project from A to Z with a vision, a business plan, a marketing/distribution strategy etc...

Does GEO team takes this into account ? From the last video published, which seemed really really cheap ( is not a critic it's just the fact ), i'm afraid we are here just with a great idea but that needs more vision, more marketing, more strategy. More people in the team, marketers for instance, and a bigger team, would probably help to develop more.

Don't expect a great idea alone to turn into big project. It's much more than that.

Any constructive answers are welcomed, I want to be convinced before I throw some money on GEO.

Thanks!

Totally agreed with this, you said it all.
I was thinking the same but at the same time I feel like things are gonna change with this swap. Let's wait for dev's answers.
