I believe that the project has been working hard, I believe GeoCoin is a good coin, and have a good future, to achieve greater results.

I do not think so you will be able to withdraw your GEO from Yobit.

Potential 10 USD, support It has been there before, it will again! Could be some time but at least there aren't many willing to sell under 20k sat, even with a thin order book. The only way is up now and it's nice to see an increase in volume too.

Some more good news, I was able to work out the remaining items with the CoinMarketCap team and have them update our currency listing. We now have both the Bittrex and Cryptopia market pairs added to the price discovery algorithm. We also have our new block explorer linked in as well. Everything is now up-to-date for the GEO now that we've swapped to the Ubiq Network. Hooray! https://twitter.com/geo_coin/status/973602011949162496

I don't wana be boring and critic but theres is still tags 'Coin' and 'Mineable'. Will it be changed to 'Token'? Let's keep GEO! I did ask them to replace 'Coin' with 'Token' already so hopefully that will transfer over soon. I decided to keep 'Mineable' since we will be doing our Proof of Location (POL) drops once we get the game up and running.

Hi, I just discovered that some pools are still mining GEO on the old blockchain Do I overlook something here? Will it still be possible to swap the mined coins to the new one? I don't think so, but I thought I ask to be sure

I don't think so, but I thought I ask to be sure Those pools are operating on the old blockchain as you said, but none of the mined GEO will be supported by a swap. Only the balances that occurred on or before the snapshot block at #1568125 are supported on the Ubiq Network. Thanks for asking!

Brief mention of GEO in Bitcoin & Altcoin Trading Talk Episode 56. They start chatting about alts around the 43 minute mark. https://youtu.be/UYG9MMvwoJI?t=2574

hey mates, I have some GEO on yobit, I was out of trading for some time and there was a swap. Is it possible to make a swap manually by sending coins to devs or somehow in a different way?
Unfortunately if your coins were on Yobit at the time of the swap, you won't possess the appropriate private keys for the wallet required to prove ownership with a manual swap claim process. The Yobit exchange is still operating on the original blockchain which is now considered developer abandoned. Any coins remaining on Yobit can not be supported on the Ubiq Network. I also have some coins on yobit. So what have I to do with them now? For what reason Yobit didn't support a swap? Usually they did it. For example, they provided swap of PACcoin recently. Do you mean that all of GEO coins remaining on Yobit exchange cost nothing now?

Ask Yobit, pre-swap there were numerous requests by Geo developers to the exchanges - Bittrex, Cryptopia, Yobit for the swap support. Yobit did not reply and kept the old market; since it's their website they can do whatever they like. Meanwhile Geo devs announced that Yobit coins are obsolete as they were not transfered to the new blockchain. All coins are worth what others are willing to pay for it, maybe somebody sees value in an old blockchain without developer.

Do you mean that all of GEO coins remaining on Yobit exchange cost nothing now? Leading up to the swap we sent multiple messages to the Yobit support staff, but no response was ever provided to us so the swap could not occur on their exchange. I sent out some warning messages prior to the snapshot block telling Yobit users to withdraw their coins to a different exchange or risk not being included. As I mentioned before, coins on Yobit are part of the original blockchain which is now developer abandoned. What you do with those GeoCoins is up to you at this point.

Have you guys heard about normal swaps procedures??? With normal devs I have swapped coins even if they are stuck on some shady exchanges. Just needed to prove that coins are there and that's it. Now you just cut off quite big part of your investors and put YOUR responsibility on investors. To be honest I am really shocked about things like this, cuz I can prove that I had GEO coins on yobit far before snapshot, I haven't bought them after news on a cheap price. With moves like this you are losing investors and trust. And I guess everybody knows what happens with community and investors abandoned projects. I put your coin out of our investors group list.

As crap as it is for those that have missed it, the swap was a slow process and announced 6 months prior to the swap actually happening which in that period the devs stated many times what exchanges would participate. If people don't keep up to date with what the devs are doing then isn't really their fault at all, If anyone is to blame is it the exchange that chose not to participate in the swap. Also If you really didn't bother doing any research on what coin you hold over a 6 month period it seems like this is something you could have prevented with very little research, even say 5 minutes just reading this Bitcointalk thread. I wouldn't say they are losing investors and trust, if anyone doesn't regularly follow the projects they buy into and keep up to date that's their own fault not anyone else's.
