Ripple is privately in talks with top-15 US and European banks. They already signed up Fidor Bank, that are rolling out Ripple in Russia, UK and Germany.

Ripple has an actual business case: fiat transactions (IOUs) on top of the Ripple protocol.

try vior. crypto with real use not a coin that you just mine and trade.
it has free call and video for the other vior users
and if you want to call international landline numbers you can spend your vior on it for a cheap price.
basically it is like skype. it is very cheap now and has big potential.

you may also want to look on Vtorrent. it has high potential if the dev keeps his promise.

also mary j. why? it is impossible that maryj wont take you high up to the moon haha

those are the coins that are very cheap and have big potentials

anyway if you want a really safe long term bet

you may want to look at nem, monero, counterparty, though those coins are already expensive but still a safe bet for long term

some will argue nxt, ripple, paycoin, ether. anyway just make sure that you can afford to loose the money you will invest on crypto

it can make you rich at no time, but also can make you poor haha

don't listen to any suggestions here.

...but here's a tip :

go to coinmarketcap.com and watch the top50 coins there.

watch the graphs at the right and pick those coins that aren't "pumped" right now, then come here to read the Announcement threads for these selected coins.
if you like what you see in the original post (the promises, the roadmap, etc...) and if, after reading the last 5 pages of these threads you still like what you read (good vibe, good comments, positive community) then that is a coin you can invest to.

best of luck  Wink

Do all the research you can before trading any altcoin. Take a look at www.coingecko.com to look at the various stats surrounding a coin such as community support, developer activity, trading volume, market cap etc. Learn all you can about the coin and choose coins which are solid on several fronts

I'd wait until you have spent a few months studying the alt market before jumping in.
