Welp, I had a working ati 5870 reference and the fan died on me.
I bought an arctic silver aftermarket cooler for it, installed it correctly, and fans spin but computer won't recognize it.
Not sure what problem is.

Then, I have an ASUS 6950, which seems to work on and off....
Not on/off quickly but like, if I put it on the shelf for a couple weeks and pull it out, it seems to work again until I take it out, and then stops working.

I also have an MSI 6950 with unlocked shaders that simply has a broken fan and just needs it replaced.

If anybody would like to make me offers, feel free.
You can just PM me.
Willing to chat via AIM or Jabber with any interested people, but PM me for that information, have a nice night now.

How does a cooler brick a video card? Heatsink goes on the GPU, and the fan plugs into the old one....?

Tips? 1crazy8pMqgwJ7tX7ZPZmyPwFbc6xZKM9

Probably too many "y"s, and it lacks a bit of sense.

With those coolers they are bad about being tighted to much and causing core damage their 5970 cooler has killed cards also.
