then just install like standard program.

Online wallets are fine for getting started in bitcoin.  However, ever bitcoiner, imo, should eventually reach the maturity where they learn what a wallet is, what private keys are and how to manage them for themselves.  There have been nearly countless robberies and scams and hacks and whatnot that have befallen even the most trusted of online wallet companies.  Remember inputs.io, the wonderful site that let you make instantaneous offchain transactions?  It was so useful and trustworthy that hundreds of people simple left their bitcoins in their inputs.io accounts (I'm sure because it was easier than managing your own wallet and whatnot).  However, one day that company also just up and died and gobbled up everyones money who left it there.

These are some of the reasons why you should eventually learn to use your own wallet program.  And seriously, multibit is just a java file.  It runs on every platform (I use it on gnu/linux without an issue).  Why is so hard for you to run it?  I just do:

$ java -jar Multibit_exe.jar

wallets that you install on your pc like "bitcoin-qt" need the blockchain which is a huge file (more than 20GB) but there are wallets called "light" which don't need the whole blockchin and connect to a server and only download the "headers" which can be as big as 30 MB

Yup you can just keep using blockchain.info as your wallet. As long as your computer isn't infected with malware and you have enabled 2FA, your bitcoin is fairly safe.

No need to install , just access it in haste.

If you would like to transfer your coins from other wallet, yes you can import the private keys.

But if you're starting from scratch, there is nothing you have to import. You start with a fresh address; one address is already generated for you when you start MultiBit first time.

It is upto you if you want to encrypt the key file while exporting. If you just want to store it somewhere, you must encrypt it. If you're using it to edit and import additional private keys, you should not encrypt it but delete after importing.

It would be good if you just try it before crying over security issues.

So it totally depends on you and how you manage your wallet and private keys. The private keys are the only way to access your bitcoins.

its amazing how many people refuse to use google. Electrum, if i remember correctly, takes the transaction fee out of what youre sending, so might help to keep this in mind. I just use it as a "portable wallet" by remembering the mnemonic

I like Electrum. When installing it, you get some words to write down. Say you are doing this on Windows.

The major difference between Electrum and Multibit is that Electrum is a deterministic wallet and Multibit is not.
Exactly as alamanjani illustrated, it is very easy to manage one Electrum wallet across a few different machine. But for Multibit, you will generate a different address every time even if you start from the same wallet file.
