As a lot of members recommend blockchain.info web wallet for you, I recommend you to export your private keys from it once you created the wallet and backup them in a secure place. then your bitcoin will be reachable and you can spend them anytime even when blockchain site went down sometimes for maintenance.
And always remember that web wallets are only good enough for small amounts

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I leave a single bitcoin in a hot wallet in coinbase for everyday transactions, because they pay my TX fees, and the other 20 bitcoin I have in cold storage on my HW.1 Cold wallet.

Did you seamlessly upgrade to the new wallet or sign up from scratch?

I only use Coinbase, personally I haven't had any issues with them at all but a lot of people on the site are very hesitant to use Coinbase and recommend other wallets.

Coinbase very much convenient to newbies I guess because its so easy to work on it and block chain is also good. These both are best ones I feel.

Coins.ph is my favorite wallet, because of their instant withdrawal to ATM 24/7 and 24/7 instant funding on convenience store

You could use blockchain.info for security and convenience, but if you don't have much bitcoin, id recommend coinbase because they cover your transaction fees. If you're a faucet farmer (which I hope you aren't...) then use xapo. It's like coinbase, but instant.

looking for a signature campaign, dm me for that

Coinbase is good but only for US citizens who can withdraw the bitcoins to their bank directly. The main fault is that they don't allow micro transactions. I earned a minor amount few years back which is still lying in my wallet as I can't transfer it anyway and since they don't give users their private key, they aren't useful to me.

lot of people here in this forum recommend other wallets because we don't have full control over our Coinbase wallet, yeah you can't get your private keys it's not a good choice for someone who have lot of bitcoin but if you don't have much bitcoin then go with coinbase or xapo

Coins.ph is an exchange actually and it's not a good idea to use it as a bitcoin wallet because we don't have control on our bitcoin address' private keys. I also use it though because of the same reason with you, the instant withdrawal 24/7 with eGiveCash method, but I don't store all of my coins there.

Storing coins on a exchange is BAD idea in most cases.  Look at Cryptsy as most recent it was thought secure.... then it's like ohhh we were hacked and lots tons of money.

Only one that is a little different is Coinbase as they have a insurance policy if entire site is hacked, if it was your fault and your account is stolen you don't get it.   But they possibly would have a insurance where hack is covered if site was hit.  But for it you give up having a private key, you cannot access Coinbase without going through their site.

What happens if they got hacked? I think all of my list of reputable exchange sites did have a hisrory of hacking.

Offline wallets are still the best to use and not online wallets.

You don't pay enough.

don't rely much to it, you better move your coins to a harddrive wallet, you should install one specially if you have had more than $200 worth of coins in your blockchain. its still better to have it on your harddrive that you can keep incase blockchain shuts down all of a sudden.

You can make a paper wallet with blockchain info in advanced I believe.  So if you store there yes treat it as hot wallet and yes have private key's in  a safty deposit box to be smart.

And also if using it use 2 factor.  It will help some on securing it as hot storage I recently have became a huge fan of Yubikey being used to add dual factor to blockchain.

I also use 2FA for the security of my account. I do not use another wallet because I was quite confused, as you suggest save on a harddrive. because imo online wallet like blockchain very easy to use. I do not think that blockchain shuts down suddenly.

but if there is an easier and I understand also very safe, of course I'll use it.
