I think Rarity got the message.

I think Rarity is an idiot.

Also Bitlane: Why mention a  city (Amsterdam) instead of the country Netherlands)? Also it isnt offivially legal (although a majority wants it to be) because otherwise a majority of Europe cough France cough) will kick our ass. Instead we just condone the use and trade under crtain quantities.

Note: I am not a user (just alcohol)

I think Rarity needs some drugs.

People like Rarity scare me.  Drugs about bad because they kill people?  Like achohol which is why it is banned right?  Oh wait that is one of those "acceptable" bad drugs.  What about cheeseburgers?  Fatty foods kills far more people in the US than "bad drugs".  Hell today it kills more people than even cigarettes that "bad drug" which is "bad" enough to publicly shame but not quite bad enough to ban.

Quote
I can only hope your government does help you one day
Even if drugs are a problem, why would it be the govts job to help a citizen stop doing something they choose to do?  That kind of statist govt is the answer to everything mindset if far more harmful than someone getting high.

Appologize in advance for the thread derail.

You cannot be physically addicted to cannabis.

Physical or mental, addiction is still just as dangerous and deadly and marijuana is one of the most addictive drugs of all.

http://www.justthinktwice.com/

Quote
Did You Know?  Each year, more teens enter treatment with a primary diagnosis of marijuana dependence than for all other illicit drugs combined.

Quote
Because it stays in your body up to four weeks after ingestion.  Because your body welcomes it.  Doesn't mean they were high when the accident happened.

"Your body welcomes it?"  What kind of hippy BS is that?  That is about equivalent to the "It's natural, man!" arguments as if there aren't millions of natural poisons in the environment.  As has been pointed out, marijuana use is extremely addictive and the reasons the users are such a menace on the road is their drug use.  Stop making excuses for your dangerous behavior.

Quote
One person kills themselves, possibly because they realized how shitty their life was and wanted to die, so we should outlaw it?  What about the 1/3 teens that kill themselves while drunk?

More two wrongs make a right?  Regardless, alcohol should be illegal too.  It is extremely dangerous and addictive.  The Netherlands did not act based on one death, but on many such lives being snuffed out for no reason.  You may think it's okay to sell products that kill children, but most people don't.

Quote
[Addiction is 95% mental, I'm sure you're addicted to a few things as well.  Doctors rob people of their ability to control their use by convincing them it's a disease.  That's too bad, you're missing a lot in life.

I am not addicted to any dangerous recreational drugs or anything else.  Your addiction is making you lash out at the person trying to help you because it lies to you to try and make you think your behavior is okay. It isn't.  It hurts yourself and the people around you and if you enter into the business of illegal paraphernalia sales it will very likely ruin your career as well when you are charged and convicted.  In the name of protecting the children I am now starting to collect data on you to forward to the authorities.  I will not sit idly by while you ruin lives in the name of profit.

Quote
No, it is ok, because it's their life, I'm not going to outlaw TVs and fast food because people destroy their selves with them.

Both entertainment and food have significant non-dangerous uses and are a an essential part of the functioning of our country.   Your use of mind numbing, dangerous substances has no comparable alternate usage.  It does nothing but harm.

Quote
Statistically, no, prohibition doesn't work.  America, the great founder of the war on (some) drugs, has the highest drug use.  While Portugal, a country that has decriminalized drugs, has seen over a 50% reduction since decriminalizing.  Weird.

That America started a war does not mean that they are doing it right.  With increased penalties and enforcement usage rates would plummet to the levels of Singapore.  It is quite simply a lie that prohibition doesn't work.  The policy is poorly implemented, but we have examples of how it can work.

The policy in Portugal is not legalization.  No country is insane enough to support such a policy.  Addicts are forced by the government into treatment and manufacturers and distributors are still harshly punished.  Portugal is just another example of a policy of prohibition that can work.  It is absurd that you cite it, but your mind is obviously too addled by drug use to see it.

Quote
You got that part right, you, I and everyone else is a drug user.  Ever felt happy?  Or sad?  Or love?  Or had a dream?  Those are the drugs altering your conscience.

The natural process of the body is not a drug.  It is a system that has evolved to drive us toward the pursuit of things vital for survival and the avoidance of things that are not.  The danger of deadly drugs like Marijuana is that they short circuit this process and encourage the pursuit of deadly poisons.

Quote
And by the way, I'm not a habitual drug user, or drug addict as you would say.

It is clear that you are.  Most deny it, exactly as you are.  I feel very sad for you that you are living in this state of denial.  You can be free of your depraved drug seeking life style if you seek treatment.  Admitting that you have a problem is an important first step.

Sure, I will take the 'gimme' answer and spew Amsterdam..... 99.99% 'Pot-Heads', 0.01% Crack/Cocaine/Meth-heads.

First off, like with Mushrooms the Netherlands has come to regret their insane policy in regards to Marijuana and they are starting efforts to deconstruct the abomination that is the coffee shops.  It's only a matter of time before they are gone entirely.

Quote
The Netherlands has a reputation -- distressing or appealing, depending on your point of view -- for a freewheeling attitude toward marijuana. Dutch citizens and drug-seeking foreign tourists alike flock to absurdly misnamed "coffee shops" to get their fix.

But Holland is rethinking that approach. A number of cities have shut down the so-called "coffee shops" that are located near schools, for instance, and now a Dutch judge has upheld a law that will prohibit foreigners from buying marijuana in the country. Under the law, the shops will become clubs that can have a maximum of 2,000 members apiece -- all of whom have to be residents of the Netherlands.

http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2012/may/06/changing-tune-on-pot/

Quote
Coffee shops famous for selling cannabis in the Netherlands will be forced to remove some types of the drug from their stores  after new restrictions are brought in.

Due to higher potency levels, the Dutch government is reclassifying some strains of the plant to the same category as hard drugs.

Maybe people should look into the background of the Harrison Act (US legislation).  The illegality of most "drugs" today was based on the assertion "Black men rape White women".

Personally, I'm not a user and don't ever intend to be.  I've seen the positives and negatives of drug use on people (actually the same person), but they died of cancer.

Edit: (less serious) and while I don't usually post into Dank's thread, I will repeat I'm not going to run a Dank-Bank PPT.

A full third of the Democratic party, including President Obama, oppose the hideous policy of marijuana legalization.  Support for legalizing other deadly drugs is far lower.  The entire left has not fallen for this foolishness and there is a lot more to the left than supporting the legalization of child killing poisons.

I know that the Green Party, a leftist party for sure, does support lowering the voting age.  Generally younger voters tend to vote to the left so it would be a benefit to the movement for the most part.  This does seem off topic from our discussion of the morality of Dank's plan to sell illegal drug paraphernalia to children however.

It does indeed make me disillusioned when illegal drug paraphernalia is made available to children.  Do you have a plan in mind to verify the ages of those you sell paraphernalia to?  (Not that enabling adult addicts to continue their addiction is much better)

Please answer the question about age verification.

The economy associated with drugs is not a free market, it is a market dependent on individuals being unable to make free choices because unscrupulous individuals have sold them a dangerous product that alters their mind and makes them make bad choices.

I recommend you go research cannabis for yourself, since you fail to realize it's a harmless plant.

I have done plenty of research.  The conclusion of scientific and medical experts is that marijuana is a dangerous drug, which is why it is legally restricted basically everywhere in the world.  The drug dealers who have lied to you about their dangerous product in order to treat you as a sucker and take your money are not where "research" comes from and they should not be treated as a trusted source.

http://www.narconon.org/drug-information/dangers-of-marijuana.html

Quote
Dangers in the immediate effects of marijuana include distortions of time and space perceptions and impaired coordination, all of which may be contributing to the increased risk of traffic accidents recently discovered.

Particularly important for students to know about is the creation of difficulty thinking or problem solving and impairment of memory and learning. These difficulties can last for as long as four weeks after drug use.

Chronic marijuana use and higher dosages are found to correlate to greater incidence of psychosis and schizophrenia. This point is particularly significant due to the increases in drug potency over the last two decades. While the average potency has risen from 3% THC (tetrahydrocannabinol - the intoxicating ingredient in marijuana) a couple of decades ago to 9% now, there are some samples of weed that measure as high as 25%. These premium strains are normally grown hydroponically, are often smuggled in from Canada and demand a higher price than commercial-grade marijuana from Mexico.

Heavy abusers of marijuana were found to suffer damage to social life, work or career status and cognitive ability. Schoolwork and the achievement of goals were also found to suffer.

But proponents of legalization, decriminalization or medicalization of marijuana do not make this clear to America's young people so they can make informed choices. By ranking marijuana in with medical treatments, the clear implication is that the drug is harmless.

Quote
Marijuana Dangers

            Impaired perception
            Diminished short-term memory
            Loss of concentration and coordination
            Impaired judgement
            Increased risk of accidents
            Loss of motivation
            Diminished inhibitions
            Increased heart rate
            Anxiety, panic attacks, and paranoia
            Hallucinations
Damage to the respiratory, reproductive, and immune systems
            Increased risk of cancer
            Psychological dependency

Can people stop attacking dank?

I mean I find the idea of >3% per week profits to be hard to believe but pages and pages and pages of attacking him?  What is the point? Anyone who is invested is obviously not moved by it.  Anyone not invested has 19 pages of warning signs.  Does anyone think 21 pages is going to be a better deterrent.  Just seems kind pointless to keep piling on him.

Arnt you worried after seeing he just used your deposit to pay back an investor who requested a withdrawal?

Solid investment going on here.
