Difference between a Ricardian contract and other contracts in e-commerces

I was reading the theoric part of OpenBazaar and frankly called my attention the somehow called Ricardian Contract which is a paper offering a new way to make business.

It's very interesting to read this, so if you read I would like to read your opinions about it.
