How can I use a vanity address as my main address Huh

This is a bad idea.

Satoshi himself explained that for increased security and privacy you should use a new bitcoin address for every transaction.

Exactly what I was going to say , he also wrote that on Bitcoin Core Receiving payments Tab ...
Beside if you are looking to import one of those adresses to your wallet , it depends on what wallet mate , not all of them allow to import new adresses , like Electrum for example I guess you can import but it become seedless so you can't get it back from the seed . So watch out

True that reusing addresses does harm your privacy and slightly harm your security, it is not advised.
But AFAIK, it still doesn't pose any risk to your bitcoin unless there are problems in your transaction signatures or ECDSA algorithm, or those on-chain gambling sites would have been gone.

You can export your private and public keys to your wallet, some online wallets offer this like blockchain. Although a vanity address is nice to have, it does intrude your privacy.  I don't see how it could be harmful to you though.

I try to do that as much as possible, If you must use one address your main address OP, I suggest you keep it off-line, even for signing transactions.

Main risk i see is ones who use a site to get them.  I just hate to trust others in creating a vanity address..   It is worth firing up a video card or two if you still have them to do it yourself then import into favorite wallet.

I would agree with others with not using it to hold your whole worth.

It's just another layer of protection if one of the hashing functions goes down. You could still use the state of the Blockchain for all the addresses that have never issued a transaction. There's no known way of compromising a wallet just because it has been used to send coins.

you would better use vanity address just for receiving bitcoin if you want to show off your name and after that transfer the funds to a cold wallet

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

Yeah, vanity addresses are not a perfect fit for doing regular transactions with Bitcoin. They can be traced better, because people can recognize the first letters and it often isn't feasible to generate a new vanity address for every new transaction. It's a good thing for receiving tips or donations, though!

Dont give away vanity for security... unless you have a business and want to make it recognizable in purpose, then maybe its a good idea.
