Website seems to be back up and working now.

Yes, the website is back up and working. However, I was mining on the stratum pool while the website was down. I haven't seen any LTC for the shares I submitted yesterday (12/3/2013), is this normal?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Glad to see that the pool is back.  Smiley

What is a acceptable % of stale shares for CPU mining? I average around 20% +- is this normal? I'm mining on several 32 core Xeon servers + cpuminer. Anything I can do to optimize their performance?

Yeah me too. Got the same "issue".

I switched to a backup pool for now.

I averaged about the same percentage of stales. Just wondering what hash rate you can achieve with your setup?

Site not working again. WTF Huh

The tunnel between our DDoS vendor and the webserver was down.  Not sure what caused it.  It's back now.  Smiley

Between miner issues, poor pool luck, and orphaned blocks it's been a rough stretch for my venture into Ltc mining..

I just logged in and noticed that the transaction fee is now 0.1 LTC!!! I thought 0.05 was pretty expensive but this is ridiculous! At the current value of LTC it costs me > $3 USD just to get my coins out of the pool. This combined with the unreliability of the web site may mean it's time to find another pool.  Undecided

Of course you're welcome to shop around.

I did the math, the site was losing LTC on the withdrawal fee because we're still running a 7.x client.  (with a 0.1 txfee)  It used to be ok when we were solving lots of blocks because the donations helped offset it somewhat.  Now we're doing tons of withdrawals less than 1 LTC and getting hit with 0.1 LTC txfees.  Crazy.

I can't upgrade to 8.x until I can do a bunch of testing... unfortunately several pieces of our 7.x client are custom.

I think btc-e.com must be in a similar situation, their withdrawal fee is still 0.1 as well.

Cheers.

Hi, new here and to mining, but so far I like your site! Can't say much for the stales, as I am still pretty slow compared to the power users. But hopefully I get can things moving faster here in the future. Still learning and having fun!

Thanks and happy mining!

Do these people chew up a lot of resources sending crap?

90% Or Higher Stales Today

Do they get temp ban?

An Int over run obv. But this is just reporting right?

Hah, that's awesome.  Whatever it is, that's how it's coming out of litecoind:

Amazing where we have come in such short time. I think 2013 will be know as the start of the crypto craze!

Loved your site burnside. You always have run a great business. If you ever consider running another pool, look up HBN. I'll treat you right.

Good Luck!

Much as I root for the underdog, this pool just has way too many issues and my miners get hung up despite fallback pools being configured.. Would appreciate a pm if there is ever a serious intention to keep this stable, happy to commit to a donation if that is the case..  As it is, this pool has cost me days and of productivity and I just can't justify sticking around until things improve..

GL folks! Wishing you all the best of luck!

But you will upgrade to 8.x sometime in the near future right?
I don't need my LTC urgently so I would rather it sit on your site until you upgrade so I get a lower fee.

Also, the cash out on demand and automatic cash out aren't working... I would love to get my coins out of the pool.

Another warning guys

I was sitting on about 0.899 LTC and mining for about 3 days with estimate = 0.01453
Now the website is back up and I'm still sitting at 0.899 LTC but now my estimate is now = 0
so 3 days of mining just wiped away.

Stay away from this pool.

I can understand that there may be problems, but it's been a few days now, and burnside hasn't even dropped us a post in the thread just to let us know what's happening.
