Hello everyone, I'm new to this whole bitcoin mining thing. I'm getting a 7970 in a month, but at the moment I have to use a Gigabyte GTX 550Ti OC, which gets me 50Mhash/s. Firstly I was wondering if there are any flags or anything that would help me squeeze a bit more out of the card, and second, while mining, EVERYTHING is very laggy, I was wondering if there was a flag that could maybe limit guiminer to only use 85 or so % of my GPU, even if it decreases mhash/s. Any Help Is Appreciated.

My PC Specs:
MSI 870-G45 MOBO
AMD Phenom II X6 1090t @3.81GHz
1x 4GB Corsair XMS3
1600MHz DDR3 @1700MHz
Gigabyte GTX 550 Ti OC 1GB GDDR5
WD Caviar Blue SATAII 640GB HDD
Coonix 600Watt PSU
Logisys Blue Acryllic Case
Modified Rosewill RCX-Z940-LX Heatsink

GUIMiner with the default OpenCL Miner.

Flags that you want to use :
-s SLEEPTIME    Sleep for the specified number of seconds between iterations (default 0). Increase this to reduce hashing performance if your temperatures are too high.

-f FRAMES, --frames=FRAMES    Will try to bring single kernel execution to 1/frames seconds, default=30. Increase this for less desktop lag

Try -f 60, decrease it if it's not that laggy anymore until you find the perfect number.
