Since poker sites need a decent size of community in order to be successful, it's really hard for new sites to start out anyways so i can't see mass poker sites starting and actually being used. In general, there are some scripts that are approved by highly trusted third parties, but these are annoying to use for the operator, because the operator can't update those to improve them. In general, I would only try a new site if they have something new and original to offer, because otherwise the risk is bigger than the reward in my opinion. Also the more popular poker sites will be enjoyable to play since it takes less time to get into a table etc.

Hard to know right away if a site is legit unless its technically proven, with p2p poker you have to watch for cheats.  You can always play heads up which avoids collusion.   Look for sites with reputation.

Well, they share sng /mtt shedule and playerpool with WinningPokerNetwork (a network between multiple fiat currencies poker skins) so everytime you join a sng/mtt your btc are automatically converted to $ and the reverse transaction happens if/when you cash in a sng/mtt.

So ...yes Btc buyins and payouts depend on bitcoin price at the moment of the transaction, but I wouldn't call it a lack of respect towards bitcoin: it is just the (smart imho) way they solved the problem of building a huge playerbase and to give the best offer in term of sng and multitable tournaments.

if you trust sealswithclubs then youre already getting screwed. theres more collusion on there than anything. least there was when i played there. plus cashouts there are anywhere from 3 hours to 24 hours.

far as any other "new" poker site as long as you can withdraw and deposit without waiting for more than 1 confirmation theres not much harm in trying them out. just dont go nuts putting 100 btc on them. play small stakes and have some fun

collusion is very difficult to do effectively vs good players. and i think i'd be able to spot it so i could just leave. this has been discussed on 2+2. the amount i would lose because of their edge over the small sample they would get vs me before i noticed is almost not worth noting. however if my cards are somehow exposed or they know flops/turns/rivers... they will kill me even over a short sample.

and i play mostly hu anyways, so collusion is almost a non-factor for me.

Technically it is possible people to see your cards if there is such software installed on the server.
But I don't think that anyone is doing this because it is not worth it. It is kind of childish.
You have to spend thousands of dollars for software and advertising and then you have to play for months scamming people and risking your future (cz when you get caught you'll have to start from the beginning - advertising, domain name, marketing, etc).

Technically it is possible people to see your cards if there is such software installed on the server.
But I don't think that anyone is doing this because it is not worth it. It is kind of childish.

That being said - i admit that i could be potentially underestimating the reputation and trust that sealswithclubs have at the moment. I think when i first tested them (2 years ago or so) - software and everything looked so bad that i played for a couple of days and did not bother since.

Agreed. Screw them, and screw B Micon for not doing anything to slow down the collusion. If you use that site/app you are either a cheater or are being cheated, there is no middle ground there.

i rather go with directbet then seals, i heard too many stories where the same people were sitting on the same table, etc cheating.
