WTB BTC for 500 USD. Will pay gift cards or paypal. I would prefer to buy cards from a retailer I trust. Escrow is needed.

Looking for safe diversification? YABIF: Good Returns, Low Fees, Low Risk.

Right ... puffn, if you weren't aware, there are plenty of methods to purchase bitcoins using cash -- deposited at a bank, or at a 7-11, Walmart, CVS, etc.

 - http://www.BitFloor.com (deposit at Chase bank, no fee)
 - http://www.BitInstant.com (deposit at major banks, 7-11, Walmart, CVS, etc.  (in the U.S., or in Brazil, Boletto or Banco Recomendito, or in Russia Qiwi or Cyberplat)
 - http://www.CAVirtex.com (in Canada, deposit cash at several banks)
 - http://www.SpendBitcoins.com (in Australia, deposit cash at several banks)
 - http://www.MrBitcoins.com (in India, deposit cash at HDFC)
 - http://www.BitcoinNordic.com (buy CashU cards in the Middle East, or buy UKash vouchers in Central and South America, dozens of other countries).

Also, there are local traders:

If you must go with gift cards, Get-Bitcoin will take them.  You mail them in, and after they are spent successfully the bitcoins are released.

There are a lot of options:

I appreciate your skepticism D&T. I ended up using bitinstant through CVS. Its kind of a pain to have to jump through hoops like that, but I suppose I understand the inconvenience. To be fair though, I offered to buy gift cards for the other person to use so long as someone reputable offered to escrow. I am not totally sure if the non-refundable part would still apply to amazon cards or not.

Sorry for doubting your intentions.  Scammers abound.  If in the future you need a large number of coins w/ no fees or markup we always have surplus coins for sale ...

Of course we only deal in non-reversible funding sources. Wink
