I will mind that door on the way out by I shall make a mental note to come and single you out for some brutal antagonism when Bitcoin is right down in that $200 range.
Please do, I welcome it. Right back in the $200 range for the 2nd time in three months that is! Doesn't seem like it wants to bounce anywhere here either! Apologies for not getting this 'told ya so' thread up on the first occasion, but I was away earning dosh....none of which I have or intend to put into Bitcoin. Anyways..... Bitcoin back in $200 range. Toldya so ya chump!...with Bitstamp pulling a Gox right in the face of a potential mass cashing out............when the only 'reliable' and liquid Bitcoin exchange starts pulling stunts like this, the writing is on the wall. |

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

In the short term, after the current stagnation period is broken out off, *most likely* all the over-eager shorts building up on Finex (with no doubt the same pattern on the CNY exchanges) are going to get their balls crushed resulting in a retest and likely extension on the recent $310 high...... .....longer term, I am in little doubt that the $150 low will be retested and also breached. If I was still tarding BTC (I amn't), I wouldn't take any position at this point in time. If Bitcoin pops up around $300, I would consider a building up a short position. If it hits $350, I would short Bitcoin out it's nut. If a rally fails to materialise and it is just yet more downtime, I would basically be looking to see where the next insane sell off volume spike occurs somewhere down below $150. choosing a low isn't obvious much of the time. But when a real keystone low is in, it is obvious. |

I hope you are right about the 310, I am dying to dump my stash above 300 at this point.
Not so fast. The only thing I am saying that I am certain on is lower lows (than $150) in the fullness of time. Bitcoin right now would be a no trade for me. IF it gets back up around and above $300, then I would short it. Otherwise, it is a game of 'pick the bottom'. I suspect that Bitcoin will retest the previous high, which is why I wouldn't short Bitcoin at the moment. However, I wouldn't bet on Bitcoin getting back up there either, which is why I wouldn't go long. |

$200-$250 seems to be the range Bitcoin is moving in now. The coinbase news took it higher, but it is now settling down. |

More power to you, Mat. I remember sparring with you back in the day when we were roaring through the $1k range and then back down. I was wrong to be so bullish but got out before the big plummet. Probably more luck than anything. It's good to call people out for incorrect predictions. A public spanking, in effect. It helps ground arguments and keeps egos in check, which we can ALL use from time to time.
