Kiwicoin, New Zealands own Crypto currency that can be used globally.
   http://kiwicoin.pw/splash.png
www.kiwicoin.pw

What is a Kiwi? Kiwi is a flightless native bird that is also New Zealands national icon
Kiwi is also another word for New Zealander.

Do not confuse this KIWICOIN, with the dead one released by the Chinese scam gang last year.

This kiwicoin is 100% made in New Zealand! Yea Bro!!!
http://kiwicoin.pw/madeinnz.jpg

Kiwicoin is a scrypt POS/POW hybrid, that rewards
100 per block every 2 minutes, and 20% interest paid daily.

Just like Bitcoin, Kiwicoin allows you to make purchases, and send
payments anywhere in the world instantly and for free,
with no bank or 3rd party involvement.

Early adoptors bonus: For the first 2 days blocks will pay 500 KIWI

http://kiwicoin.pw/cert.png

SPECS:
Algo: Scrypt.  Asic miners uses less power than GPU and FPGA,
and is therefore a more environmentally friendly algorythm.
Reward: 100 Reward every 2 minutes, halved each 3 years,
with 20% annual interest paid daily.
Difficulty: Coin will retarget every block, based on the current hash
rate, so no worry about getting hit by a "Retarget attack"
Block maturity: 50 blocks
Transaction maturity: 3 blocks
Total POW reward: 160,000,000
POW lifetime: 50 years
POS Lifetime: Infinite

Premine: 2,000,000
Half will be given away to kiwis, half will be used for development.

whats the point? I mean seriously nothing added of value.

There are  lots of crypto enthusiasts in NZ, considering the small population. So its fitting that Kiwis will appreciate to have their own currency, and hopefully choose to support a KIWICOIN that is made by KIWIS, for KIWIS.

Always reminds me of kiwi air, the planecompany that took a walking bird as their mascot. i think it's an urban legend but a funny story nonetheless.

this was the other kiwicoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=637004.0

same shit.

This one was actually made by Kiwis, and we think we can get it on the News. Im currently writing a press release and will send it to stuff.co.nz next week. The title is "Watch out Bitcoin. here comes Kiwicoin"  Grin
Cool so you just confirmed that you had hands in the first kiwi coin and you have abadoned it after you made some quick buck. Why should we think this coin will en in other way?

not really sure how you came to that conclusion, that first kiwicoin was made specifically to scam kiwis into thinking they had their own crypto, even I bought some thinking I was supporting NZ, then it emerged after the Bittrex dump, it was infact made by a chinese scam gang

NEW ZEALAND FACT

New Zealand has the worlds most slutty women
http://www.stuff.co.nz/life-style/22444/Kiwi-women-most-promiscuous-in-the-world

So, your momma, your sister and your girlfriend are all sluts?

Is that what you are telling us?

Apart from that, I will shout:

NO CHANCE YOU ARE A KIWI UNLESS YOU ARE ONE OF THESE:

PS: I think the word is sluttiest  Wink

Kiwi coin launched with Cryptopia Exchange which is also based in New Zealand hmmm I'm pretty sure that Cryptopia made this coin or even paid loljosh 0.3 btc to make it for them since most of them probably bought scrypt ASIC's that's why it is that algorythm.

Cryptopia even give people the option to buy a certain amount of a coin and donate that to the voting address to get a particular coin listed 100% guaranteed, guess what the kicker is..... Cryptopia also made that coin they are getting people to buy to be listed.... another coingen coin that now has a use of ripping people off, go have a look.

So basically after Cryptopia see people want their shitcoins added so they can have an exchange they raise their price of the DOT coins they are listing so it is at a higher price all up to be listed and people pay it crazily enough, then the coins that will be donated to Cryptopia will be re-listed at a higher price then the last...this is one big raught system they are using and even then coins don't even have volume or an active market after being added.

Even DOTcoin is associated with NZ & Cryptopia.... Roll Eyes

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=550851.0

Unlike you I have friends and contacts in this Biz, dont believe my newbie status, ive been here since 2012

Cryptopia was the exchange i wanted kiwicoin listed on, so paid them to list it. They certainly did not make this coin.

Why i want listed on Cryptoipia? because its my favourite site, its a NZ site, and the guys that run it are awesome and trustworthy.

Why I make it Scrypt?  Because I dont have FPGA, and most people into crypto have Asics

As for Dot, it was launched 1 year before cryptopia was even invented, and even before coingen was invented. Whether or not they made it, im not sure, but so what if they did? Anyone can buy it, mine it or sell it.... And its really good to see coins getting support like that.  My personal view is Dot is a good investment, Cryptopia using it as their payment currency has certainly added value and demand to it, and thats great to see such sites using something other than BTC.

And lastly Cryptopia do not determan the price of the coins.. its determined by the market, you fool.

So you truly are ignorant, stupid, clueless, and possibly retarded or suffer some type of mental disability.

call it kiwicoin.conf, and the rest should be the same as any other coin. try this

listen=1
daemon=1
server=1
rpcuser=something
rpcpassword=something
rpcallowip=10.1.1.*
rpcport=1778
rpcconnect=127.0.0.*

Notes:  rpcport should be any available port upto 54000
rpcuser / password  This is what you put in your miner software, while URL will look like localhost:1778

What's the significance of the domain's registration origins? Also that is probably the country of the WHOIS protection service/company the domain is using.

I understand that, but New Zealanders will appreciate the Name, and really this was who its made for. So long as that other coin is long dead, should be no confusion

I like the name - I could give a rats ass if there were one called the same name before that failed.

I'm glad it failed - cause if it had not you would have had to come up with another name..

some times I think some people on this site have such miserable lives they're not happy unless they can pick on anything and everthing for some sort of sense of self worth.

who the fuck cares!

LOL

By the way I thought you'd be happy to know that even though your coin is just ramping up price wise...

It's already out producing the following:

HBN
Fastcoin
USDe
Songcoin
Qutloo (LOL)
NOBL
Netcoin
Franko
EMC2
EFL
EAC
AUR
ARI
42

and a bunch of smaller coins

It's actually a great coin for a smaller miner

50 MH/s on Kiwi pays 0.00014000
25 Mh/s on Kiwi pays 0.00016000

not bad at all for a startup coin

esp when the most of the so called 'profit switching' multi pools are struggling to make .00018 to .00019

keep up the good work

Guys, it looks like POS blocks have started minting.

And maybe you see a small improvement we made with KIWI that truely seperates the POS and POW blocks,
 (previous coins determan based on amount, but we determan based by type)

POW the kiwi miner has black helmet, POS the kiwi has a Gold helmet.

Small and insignificant change, i know, but currently i think this is exclusive to KIWI, doing it this way  Grin

Here is a question Dev I have mined over 20k worth of Kiwi but they aren't confirmed yet on the pool so I can't withdraw them do you know any reason why that might be?

Mined transactions require 50 confirmations, however the pool operator can set it to payout after as many confirms as they feel comfortable with, so like the pool could be set to 200 or something. Maybe you can ask the pool op, and then post back here his reply

 Undecided

I do not recommend anyone gets involved with this.

2million premine, with 20% POS, hmm..

Everything about the dev screams scam, right down the the .pw domain. If he himself took this project seriously he wouldnt mind investing $20 for a .co.nz which would have a lot more marketing power in New Zealand (Although then he wouldn't be able to maintain anonymity). Probably would have spent more then 5 minutes on the branding also..

Don't fall for this nonsense.

Tarnishing the image of crypto in NZ is not fine.. and that's all this, and all previous attempts at 'kiwicoin' do. Exploiting Kiwi's is not how a coin made for Kiwi's should operate.

Your work? nothing about this coin accept for the rebranding was done by you. It offers nothing new, just another epic premine that is going to get dumped on early adopters so you can run away with a profit.

Now for the sake of credibility, I'm Luke Williams of Iquidus Technology ( http://iquidus.co.nz ), I have contributed to a number of altcoins over the last few years and write/maintain an open source blockexplorer, ( https://github.com/iquidus/explorer ).

Before I down another bottle of water so we can continue this pissing contest, who are you again?

Guys the reward is 100 now, and will halve in about 3 years, network still going strong at 1.2GH

Also some good news, Cryptopia has launched the kiwicoin pool, at https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/MineShaft/All/52

Cryptopia makes it easy, any coins you mine will get deposited directly into your trade account, and  trade against BTC/LTC/FTC/DOGE/POP/ and HTML

Also, another cool thing, you can buy and sell stuff using KIWI on the Marketplace https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/MarketPlace
