why no one answers the questions about cryptsy?
I thought the colossus team works transparently?

I know cryptsy has the WD problems, but is the colossus team in background discussions and work with cryptsy about the swap or not?
how long reserved the colossus team cv2 coin for the cryptsy users?

I think about to invest into cv2
but if col simply dropped from the Col team, who tell me that it doesnt happen soon with CV2 and CV3 is comming...

sry for my english

Hi ahalim. I'm not from the Colossuscoin Team, anyhow I'm a long term supporter of Colossuscoin.
A lot of COL were sold on Cryptsy and CV2 were bought by investors instead.
Sell your COL and buy CV2 instead NOW and withdrawal ASAP!
The Colossus Team did a colossus excellent Job to rescue Colossus. Without the Team Colossuscoin would be dead for long time ago.
I know they didn't get paid and work in their free time. Who else would do this for a long time period of 2 years?
They have created the new Blockchain ColossusCoin2 (X13) and it is a fantastic improved Coin with many features.
and the ColossusCoin2.0 Blockchain is running smoothly! All Colossuscoins must be swapped over by Sudo manually and that is indeed hard work too.

What did you do to rescue Colossuscoin?

The Team is not responsible for the Ongoing Cryptsy withdrawal issues and Cryptsy Problems. They have done their best and they try their best to solve it.

Now it's up to you: Create a Cryptsy support Ticked and ask them your questions. https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/home

ColossuscoinV1 COL Issues:
Quote
Q: Why should I exchange ColossusCoinV1 (COL) to Colossuscoin v2.0 (CV2)?

A: Due to the massive size of the main wallet ColossusCoin COL v1 (the old one) has multiple errors in the code, several hardforks and wallet syncing issues (peers are not to be able to connect to each other on the network). The main issue with it is the messaging system, low fees, fast stake and long minimum Prooof of Stake so to just change all of that and keep with the near 1 GB Blockchain just wouldn't make sense. The Colossuscoin COL V1 Block Chain is currently not moving and Col1.52 blockchain is stuck . The original ColossusCoin has experienced technical issues as described in detail here and here.
There are also several bugs and the Colossuscoin/V2-team could not identify the solution to such as transactions getting rejected and being hard to recover as well as Stake before Sync issues and extremely slow Block download times. So thats why the Colossuscoin/V2 team have decided to build a new blockchain (Colossuscoin2) and do a full swap for a new Blockchain (20:1 Colossuscoin-Colossucoin2.0 ratio). The ColossusCoin2.0 Blockchain is already running smoothly, very well and the ColossusCoin/V2 Development Team focus on improving the working CV2 blockchain.

cryptsy:
Important System Notification
Phishing Attempt:: There is a phishing attempt going around prompting users to go to a cryptsy-refund website. Do not go to this website or give your login details on any website other than the official Cryptsy website. There were two avenues of the Phishing attempt. One was via SMS, using our provider Twilio and gained entry into our logs and sending ability via a weak password on that account. The passwords on this account have been secured. The other avenue was via email using the same mailing service we use (Mailgun), but was not sent using our account. It is uncertain where the email list for this Phishing attempt was attained from, as we do not show any unauthorized access to our Mailgun account nor our internal systems. We are still investigating this matter. If you were a victim of this phishing, you should log into your account at Cryptsy immediately and do the following: 1. Change your password and enable 2fa if you don’t already have it enabled. 2. Check your pending withdrawals, we currently have withdrawals disabled so if you see one that shouldn’t be there you can request to have it cancelled. Regarding other issues that have been apparent at Cryptsy for the last couple months, I will be making another post to explain what has been happening in the next couple days. Until we are able to determine the extent of the phishing attempt, all withdrawals are paused and will be cancelled before they are brought back live.....BigVern

Announcement from cryptsy blog (they are insolvent)

Cryptsy has had problems for some time now and it’s time to let everybody know exactly why.  These problems were NOT because of any recent phishing attacks, or even a ddos attack, nor does it have anything to do with me personally.

About a year and a half ago, we were alerted in the early AM of a reduction in our safe/cold wallet balances of Bitcoin and Litecoin, as well as a couple other smaller cryptocurrencies.   After a period of time of investigation it was found that the developer of Lucky7Coin had placed an IRC backdoor into the code of wallet, which allowed it to act as a sort of a Trojan, or command and control unit.   This Trojan had likely been there for months before it was able to collect enough information to perform the attack.  It does not appear that this was the original developer for LK7, as on 5/22/2014, we received this message from the new developer who wanted to maintain the codebase:

Hello,

Lucky7Coin is not maintained and I would like to take care of it. I have announced that on bitcointalk.org in Lucky7Coin thread. You’re the only exchange for this coin and I hope you will let me take care of it. I’m responsible. You don’t have to be afraid of errors or forks. I’m developing multipool and I know bitcoin internals and protocol.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=295157.msg6861797#msg6861797

For a start I’ve changed irc network, so clients could synchronize blockchain. Please upgrade as soon as you can.

Github repo:
https://github.com/alerj78/lucky7coin

Branch “master” will always be for stable version, branch “devel” could be dirty. In a 2-3 weeks I’ll release new version with p2pool support and checkpoints. Before that I’ll contact you to check few blocks hashes for checkpoints and make sure there is no fork.

I hope we can cooperate and make this coin live again!

Jack

These are the approximate figures taken:
Bitcoin:  13,000 BTC
Litecoin:  300,000 LTC

This of course was a critical event for Cryptsy, however at the time the website was earning more than it was spending and we still have some reserves of those cryptocurrencies on hand.   The decision was made to pull from our profits to fill these wallets back up over time, thus attempting to avert complete closure of the website at that time.   This worked fine for awhile, as profits decreased due to low volume and low Bitcoin prices, we would adjust our spending accordingly.  It wasn’t until an article from Coinfire came out that contained many false accusations that things began to crumble.   The article basically caused a bank-run, and since we only had so much in reserves for those currencies problems began.

Our current customer liabilities for BTC is around 10,000 BTC, so as you can see we would like to see the Bitcoins returned for both our users and for ourselves.

Here are the transaction details from the Bitcoin wallet:

https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/0c07e0bec1002bd2

As you can see,  2014-07-29 13:17:36 is when the event occurred.   A very interesting fact here, however, is that those Bitcoins have not moved once since this happened.    This gives rise to the possibility they can be recovered.   In fact, I’m offering a bounty of 1000 BTC for information which leads to the recovery of the stolen coins.

If you happen to be the perpetrator of this crime, and want to send the coins back no questions asked, then you can simply send them to this address:

1KNi4E4MTsF7gfuPKPNAbrZWQvtdQBTAAa

If they are returned, then we will assume that no harm was meant and will not take any action to reveal who you are.  If not, well, then I suppose the entire community will be looking for you.

Some may ask why we didn’t report this to the authorities when this occurred, and the answer is that we just didn’t know what happened, didn’t want to cause panic, and were unsure who exactly we should be contacting.   At one time we had a open communication with Secret Service Agent Shaun Bridges on an unrelated matter, but I think we all know what happened with him – so he was no longer somebody we could report this to.    Recently I attempted to contact the Miami FBI office to report this, but they instead directed me to report it on the I3C website.  I’ve not heard anything from them.

I think the only real people who can assist with this are the people of the Bitcoin community itself.

Trades and withdrawals will be suspended on the site indefinately until some sort of resolution can be made.

Here are our options:

1. We shut down the website and file bankruptcy, letting users file claims via the bankruptcy process and letting the court make the disbursements.

- or –

2. Somebody else comes in to purchase and run Cryptsy while also making good on requested withdrawals.

- or –

3. If somehow we are able to re-aquire the stolen funds, then we allow all withdrawal requests to process.

I’m obviously open to any other ideas people may have on this.

If you have information, you can email reward@cryptsy.com

 quote from AMS developer

Hi People,

Please have some patience with me. I will start working on AMS soon. The main problem I have with AMS is that I am out of development funds. I totally understand your complains, but I am very busy with other developments. Once the other developments are done I can start to do some work for AMS. I still want to make AMS a great success. Instead of complaining you could help me with AMS. Only complains will not help. You should understand that it is hard to maintain a coin that gives me zero income. It will take my time and my money to get AMS listed at the payment providers. They ask money for the listing and I did not expect that. Now ask yourself the question: Would you put your time and money into something that does not bring anything back?

yes cryptsy is down and the will be going broke, im sure about that.
at the end i blame the team of col : the fact that the wallet wasnt working for over a year, prevented the cryptsy user from transferring their coins.
many of my altcoins are on my USB stick - i couldnt do this with col.

considering that the website of col is still advertising for cryptsy, gave us hope that everything will change.

finally the col team quit col up and launced the cv2 coin
the cryptsy user hoped for a swap, which is certainly not happening

because of the above-mentioned reasons i dont understand why I should not get the cv2 coin paid out if i can prove (the transfer of my cryptsy account or another evidence) that im in posession of the mentioned cols.

that cryptsy will be saved at everything will be good at the end is unlikely.

if you are serious about this coin you have to take the responsibility and offer us a solution for the cryptsy users

Its a huge amount of work to even try to reimburse Cryptsy COL owners now... Its possible (especially now, when trading at Crypsy is stopped), but really huge work. The CollossusCoin team is not reimbursed for its work in any form, so I would not dare to say they are obliged to do it. They already did a lot of work to save a coin, not many devs would do that. Also influx of coins from Cryptsy could kill the price, making the new coin worthless... I have sold all my Cryptsy COL coins half-a-year ago when I felt the chances of them being swapped are extremely low.

A poll could be made to see what community thinks on this.

That's a hard choice, I personally do not know whats the best option. It is very good to have all the old members of COL community back here (including the ones who has coins on Cryptsy), but I suppose many of the coins have changed their owners, and new one do not care at all about the CololossusCoin, just want to dump their coins.

To be fair, I suppose the decision should be made by the ones who participate in the Colossus coin community now, so they read this thread and will not miss the vote.

... this space is not for rent ...

I fully agree to drays.

Ahalim, “You can't blame anyone else, ... , no one but yourself. You have to make your own choices and live every agonizing day with the consequences of those choices.”

Inform yourself better before make an investment! The forecast of a very likely bankruptcy of cryptsy has
appeared throughout the forums and altcoin related sites. We should not be naïve about this.

https://www.sec.gov/investor/pubs/tenthingstoconsider.htm

About 50% of the wallets on Cryptsy were offline.  And cryptsy made the bankruptcy announcement today. The Devs can't update the Website daily.
Furthermore did you read the tos https://colossuscoin.org/index.php/tos
Quote
Under no circumstances will Colossuscoin/2.0 be responsible for any loss or damage, including loss of coins, loss of data, damage of software and hardware, personal injury, resulting from anyone's use of Colossuscoin/2.0 software or the service, whether online or offline.

Articles posted to Reddit and bitcoinforums since October, seemed like it was better not to have anything on Cryptsy exchange anymore.

Why did you not sell your COL in LTC such as drays and junbi39 and many others? The chances of them being swapped were extremely low.

Your latest chance may have been on January 09, 2016 Sudo posted cryptsy has stopped the communication some time ago.
The Devs have tried many many times to talk to cryptsy and wanted to do the swap.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=941433.msg12561737
We have been working out a swap from COLv1 to CV2 there. Sice the ongoing extreme withdrawal issues occurred they stopped the communication about it.

Even if the Col Team were able to work out a last minute swap, I dont think you could withdraw your CV2 there quick enough (stuck in pending withdrawals,as of many altcoins there the last months)
All new Colossuscoin2 on Cryptsy would be lost and may get dumped anytime on other exchanges/markets by craptsy. In that case half of the new Coin supply would be buried on a dead exchange.

Another warning:
Bitcoin exchange Cryptsy may have gone full Mt Gox from Oct 19, 2015!

why no one answers the questions about cryptsy?
I thought the colossus team works transparently?

I know cryptsy has the WD problems, but is the colossus team in background discussions and work with cryptsy about the swap or not?
how long reserved the colossus team cv2 coin for the cryptsy users?

I think about to invest into cv2
but if col simply dropped from the Col team, who tell me that it doesnt happen soon with CV2 and CV3 is comming...

sry for my english

Apparently the cv1 coins are not coming from cryptsy. Its not the fault of the cv2 team. Cv2 is a stable coin using the pos system which ensures interest in the coin and a very good codebase behind it. More services are needed for it tho like tipbots for major social media and awareness campaigns. The remaining cv2 coins could be distributed via boinc participation or destroyed. The people that got burnt in cryptsy are not in fault and are not be blammed but had the time to get out by using other coins and the early indicators that cryptsy was going down. I Never keep my coins on an exchange  more than a day. and so should you. Now with cv2 and pos we must have the coins in our wallets to stake and support the network.

CrApsy COL traders had nearly one year and enough time to sell their COL in LTC, and swap manually indirectly to CV2 (by buying and supporting CV2)
Therefore nothing more to say. There was and is nothing to complain about the Dev Team. Complaining usually does not solve the problems.
You should keep yourself better informed. Craptsy was a fast-sinking ship

I agree to prior comments from Den821, killerjoegreece, bitcoin_flapper, drays here. The Dev Team cannot be held responsible for any losses on Cryptsy Exchange. No. 1 (crypto)currency exchange rule is: Invest and Trade (Buy, Hold and Sell) At Your Own Risk. The COL markets COL/LTC /COL/XRP were permanent active and open for trading. Many investors have sold COL because of the (now confirmed) rumours about liquidity problems and emerging withdrawal issues in October/ December.
We were in talks about a possible swap and Cryptsy have suddenly stopped communicating and we have tried our best to solve it in the interests of all COL holders. The manually swap is a massive work and I can't count the hours I have spent for swapping the coins over.

Due to Cryptsys Bankruptcy we will make a vote in a democratic way how to deal with this situation

Best wishes

Our beautiful new CV2 logo is ready. Feel free to use it!

About ColossusCoin2's innovative Proof of Stake:
ColossusCoin2's Proof of Stake is different from other coins. After min 7 days ColossusCoin2 mature and are eligible to stake on the network.
Blocks which are found through staking are static blocks similar to PoW. Each PoS block found will provide a reward of 5,000 ColossusCoin2.
This is a better form of Proof of Stake than using a percentage method like other PoS coins with interest.

Wow, that one of the col team manifests itself highly intelligent like that surprises me.
A question then: what should those do with the coin col who bought it from me?

To sell it, there must be in the stock market for a buyer as we know. So one pushes the Dead coin to another and the other way around.
Notable highly intelligent logic.

So again:
You advertise on cryptsy where you can buy col. From time to time they are showing screenshots of coinmarketcap: how well col is traded on cryptsy.
Cryptsy users buy it, but the wallet can not be used because the wallet is offline for more than a year.
Your can hope that soon a swap is possible.

And shortly before  everyone recognizes the cryptsy will go broke you incidentally write to one user "not to buy col cryptsy"

in the end they say to the stupid one who has already purchased "you should had sell it to another "stupid user", as others did.

Because of the commitment from the col the team which highly motivated reports its investors Every news, i will buy cv2! [\Irony]

Note Because of some Harvard students here:
A democratic decision would follow after their capital
Someone who only has 1 Col coin invested to give the same grave voice like someone who has given in 2 billion coins - would be even more than ridiculous

Proposal: 0.001 BTC = 1 vote, the BTC collected goes to col team
Let's see how many are willing to pay from the communty

@ahalim >>>> an angry investor who wants to blame others for his wrong investment strategies.

@ahalim >>>>Col would have been dead without the team colossus.you look for someone to take the blame for your failure.
advise on cryptsy?no.that was just a link to an exchange, like in every ann here.traders on cryptsy did a high risk speculation bet on whether cryptsy might survive or not and if the col swap will happen.
It could have turned out the other way.CV2 is another coin than col.what have you done for colossus?I guess nothing!!why don't you repair and fix COL and talk to cryptsy?you had 1year to fix it!lulZ!!Go and blame someone else!!
"stupid users"??!:they are gamblers!!and you are a gambler too!make sure you inform yourself before you decide to buy.informed investors are more likely the winners and
you need to be well-informed about the cryptocoin you buy!!every colossus holder should be given one vote not more.btc vote is sh*t.the coin started as the coin for all investors, also the little guys!
