Need some help picking out a cheap mother board that will take 3 5870s or 2 6990's and a 5870.
Trying to go the most economical route. Seen alot of recommendations for the MSI 890FX-GD70 but I would like to pay less than that if possible for the amount of cards I'd like to run.

Yes, also make sure your power supply is big enough. |

Yes, the blue slots on the board are the slot type you want for those video cards. They are evenly spaced so that each video card that take 2 slots each will use the slot of the slot with the white connector. |

Also, make sure case has enough slots to use all the (blue) slots on the motherboard. It wouldn't be a problem in this situation since it's a full size board so a standard ATX case has to be used. Standard ATX cases have 7 PCI expansion slots in the back and only 6 slots are used in this case. Good things to keep in mind though. If one was to use this board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130274&cm_re=msi_890fxa-gd70-_-13-130-274-_-Product with 4 cards or 3 cards spaced with each other it would require a case with 8 expansion slots, and the list of cases with that feature is limited. |

Last poster makes a valid point...
If you spend your money on expensive mobo...
No way you make money today...
Gotta think outside the box...
Buy a cheap used mobo local...
With total 3 PCIe slots...
x1 or x16 doesnt really matter...
Buy those x1 extenders...
Total $30 bucks or so...
Thats a hundo to your bottom line...
That might be the only profit...
You will make for all your trouble...

Thank you very much guys! I will probably run my future rig caseless on a mobo tray and just slap fans where needed, so no case/space issues
