Hi. Can Russian citizens order a virtual card on your service?

Hi Sergey, Russian citizens living in the EEA (and Switzerland) can open an account with us. Instead of a virtual card, you'll be able to order the Bitwala debit card (powered by MasterCard) for free and with no maintaining fees. Feel free to start here: https://app.bitwala.com/onboarding  Smiley

Your ID verification provider does not accept residence cards from Bulgaria. I am not a citizen of Bulgaria but i live and work there, i have a residence card, but cannot apply for an account with you. Why is this ?

Living in EEA... self-explained. If you can't understand that simple thing then you shouldn't own a bank account at all. If you want the complete list, google it. And since you need to provide a proof of residence, don't even think about visiting a country just to be able to create an account (facepalm)

Dude.. calm down. I just asked a question, because the information provided by Bitwala is not clear. They said that Russian citizens living in EEA countries can open an account in bitwala and that is not correct. (You must have an ID issued by any EEA member countries for registration and verification) I guess that is more correct.

Hi,

the math indeed is simple: your card was charged twice with the same amount. That's why you were refunded for the double booking. Refunds for these issues can take up to two weeks.

We refund double charges and no BTC/EUR trades to balance an account. Please see the latest messages by our support team for details, which can't be shared on an open platform like BitcoinTalk.

Apologies for your bad experience, we're trying our best to avoid similar events in the future.

If i order one of your debit cards and load it with BTC, will the BTC be converted to € instantly or not until i use the card for a payment?

Edit: I just saw bitwala is offering a BTC wallet as well. So, i guess it's possible to just store the BTC there and transfer them onto the card when needed? Do fees apply with such "internal transfers"?

Hi there, the fee-less Bitwala debit card is linked to your Bitwala account. The account itself is a full German bank account, which can easily receive any EUR transaction (like SEPA). Moreover, you are free to create a Bitwala wallet, receive BTC and sell the preferred amount. The equivalent will be credited to your bank account. This will only cost 1% and you are free to trade any day, any time. Enjoy  Smiley

Thanks for your reply.  Smiley

Will the equivalent amount of € be credited to my account instantly when i sell BTC? If not, how long will it approximately take?

What i basically would love to do is...

1. Fund the Bitwala wallet with BTC and get the debit card
2. Sell BTC for € at any time
3. Spend the € with the debit card instantly

Hey there, you're very welcome to do exactly that. Using the Bitwala account to really cash out your BTC is one of the best solutions we provide.

The equivalent in EUR will be credited after six confirmations. So next time you decide to go spending, simply sell BTC before you leave and enjoy the shopping, restaurant or whatever you are up to.

The card itself will work fine, without costs at over 30 million places globally. Enjoy!
