It would be funny if we all eventually find out Satoshi's identity and it was nothing like anyone expected: I.E. not asian, not male
I don't think many people think he is Asian, more likely a Brit.

I'm British.  How would I know if I was Satoshi?  Does he have any distinguishing marks?
Yep instread of the india red marks above nose he has bitcoin logo there.

The only online casino on which i won something. I made 17mBTC from 1mBTC in like 15 minutes.  This is not paid AD!

My theory: Satoshi is among us. He's running some kind of bitcoin business e.g. exchange.
That's not a theory any more than Christianity or Flying Spaghetti Monster is. A theory is a supposition or system of ideas intended to explain something. A good theory is based on general principles independent of the thing to be explained.

What you have is a baseless conclusion is search of potential evidence, as you have presented none.

The real question is: Does ANYONE know who he is, or is he truly anonymous? It's conceivable that his family, co-workers, or project contributors know who he is; it's also believable that he is the only one who knows his identity. I can imagine LOTS of people developing software and working on a project where no one else really knows what they're working on.

His family must have noticed he suddenly acquired a lambo collection.

Some of us have suspicions and speculations.  None of us as far as I know have evidence.  Also?  I don't think anyone who has real grounds for suspicions and speculations really wants to know.

The Satoshi part has been played.  There is no reason to revisit it, and the play goes on.

His family must have noticed he suddenly acquired a lambo collection.

Look at the blockchain.  The Satoshi coins remain unspent.  There is no lambo collection.

If one day they should suddenly start moving again, my computer will send me a text immediately and run a whole directory of other scripts that I've prepared and tested.  I doubt that I am the only one.

Not spending the coins is the cost of remaining anonymous.  I believe Satoshi fully intends to bear that cost for the rest of his life.

Nothing like a good conspiracy! I think Satoshi has his Bitcoin in cold storage in the Vatican and he is hiding in a monastery in Tibet!

My theory: Satoshi is among us. He's running some kind of bitcoin business e.g. exchange.
I often see questions asking why Satoshi didn't spend his bitcoins.
This is perfect explanation: he didn't, because he's profiting from the fact these bitcoins remain unspend.
What do you think?

I don't think he is running an exchange , but maybe he has an alt account and participates here in the forum.

Well that's obvious and for sure of course . How he will make a big project like Bitcoin then just let it go ? He won't . and for some reasons I still think that Theymos know Satoshi Face to face , or at least know him on the internet for a long long time .

~ Madness

LOL noobs do you know Theymos was just a student (probably still is) when he created this forum? Dont be stupid now.

C'mon, seriously? The core developers know who he is. The first venture capitalists know who he is. Ask Andreas. Ask Gavin. Ask Garzik.

But they won't tell, or will they?

I think that for some, they don't want to tell because it takes the spotlight away from themselves. It's one giant popularity contest. It has nothing to do with "respecting Satoshi's privacy". But I'm sure if you asked them personally, and if they can trust you, they'll tell you. There's also that aspect where venture capitalists don't want to be associated with the real Satoshi because of public relations and marketing, which I find ironic because they're making bank off his work and haven't paid him for any of it. They want Satoshi to be a well-spoken, well-groomed spokesperson for their business instead of the exact opposite.

Satoshi is Skynet
Satoshi is Kyle Reese.

From the wiki: "[Kyle Reese] also assisted in stealing and reverse-engineering most of the Skynet technology (Bitcoin), pulling raids on gunshops and stealing most of the laser-rifle equipment with his troops for the Resistance. His troops are also responsible for stealing the time-traveling technology that Skynet has developed. He personally volunteered for a one-way mission back to pre-apocalypse Los Angeles to save Sarah Connor, mostly because he has her picture of her given by John(, as well as posting the Bitcoin Whitepaper on the internet and starting up the first miner)."

Come on guys, this is a known fact now.  Wink

Today Bitcoin is "unaware" but everything is being put in place for the next step in the plan "Bitcoin 2.0" with Smart Contracts.

Bitcoin already has become an autonomous agent which utilizes humans to build itself and issues autonomous payments for improvement work done.

Read these two links. This is where the planning of Bitcoin AI started:

Tim May email: (Crypto + Economics + AI = Digital Money Economies)
http://cypherpunks.venona.com/date/1995/09/msg00964.html

Nick Szabo reply:
http://cypherpunks.venona.com/date/1995/09/msg01303.html

The next phase of enlightenment:

Smart contracts are contracts that are not just legal documents but actually active AI code. In the beginning smart contracts are just computer programs that facilitate, verify or enforce the performance of a contract. A simple example would be “digital repo”, where access to certain information or a machine would be granted or not depending on whether one party had paid the other. More advanced digital repo contracts can recognize if the seller went absent or bankrupt, and then allow access with no constraints. Over time the intelligence could increase, allowing contracts to actually gather information, check that they are obeyed and even take action.

http://firstmonday.org/ojs/index.php/fm/article/view/548/469

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=502359.0

When based on the same evidence, the predictions of the AI "statistical prediction rules" are as reliable as, and are typically more reliable than, the predictions of human experts for problems of social prediction.

Disclaimer: (AI) does not always mean (Singularity).

Update: Sarah Connor first learned about Judgment Day in 1984 from Kyle Reese, a soldier sent from the future to protect her from an assassination by a Terminator. The exact date has changed due to terminators being sent back in time on several occations.

Most likely Satoshi mined with a different computer(s) after 2009 and sold some of these different coins at some point.  Weather or not Satoshi is still around in this forum, is probably unknown but Satoshi probably still participates in some bitcoin related activities.
