Facebook is dying with or without bitcoin. Facebook is about keeping in touch and communication, and they are failing to do that with their stupid ads and email spam.

Basing on this news: http://[Suspicious link removed]/1yGPr3H Synereo will be a lot to handle once it gets going. Do you think, Bitcoin could kill other social media giants like Google plus, Twitter and Facebook? Or will Facebook finally integrates bitcoin to its platform? What do you think? May be, if Satoshi Nakamoto lives in Palo Alto and owns and Ak-47. HT

Millions of Facebook users around the world don't know they're even using the internet. http://qz.com/333313/milliions-of-facebook-users-have-no-idea-theyre-using-the-internet/Though I'm not into facebook, apparently people who snub the internet are so into Facebook they have no clue they're even online while checking it. I don't think Bitcoin will kill facebook, but if people would do more (like tipping) with Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies on Facebook, it may start getting a whole new group of people into it that still don't know they're even online. lol

I don't see how BitCoin - a currency - can kill a social media used by millions of people. BitCoin is for the nerds, FaceBook is for just about everyone. BitCoin has a long way to go to reach the masses with social media.

I thought Facebook was dying too until I found out how massive they are in Asia. In the Philippines they are offering free Facebook, with no wifi with a major telecom, free Viber, free WhatsApp. So you just need a prepaid sim card with $1 on it and get unlimited Viber/Whatsapp/Fb for free.
Facebook isn't going anywhere, they are stronger than ever taking over countries wholesale by offering free service.

If Facebook were a country, it would be the third largest country (in term of population) in the world. What's Bitcoin?
Until Facebook integrate Bitcoin somehow.. Bitcoin might be able to overthrow Facebook or other social media.

Why does Bitcoin have to kill Facebook and Facebook have to kill Bitcoin? Can't we all just get along... It doesn't have to be absolute, they can both co-exist mutually, even thrive together. You're seeing some signs of this with Changetip right now. There's no reason that Bitcoin or Facebook have to supplant one another. They'll probably compliment each other and integrate within each others space in a couple years anyways it seems.

I hope all big web services like Facebook will see advantage of having unified digital cryptocurrency. It is impossible to make centralised and universaly accepted solution so decentralised Bitcoin is perfect for that. Even Microsoft realise that and accept bitcoin (even Bill would sure like to copyright tech and make another shitcoin just fully centralised and under controll).
