I don't understand why they haven't already started accepting bitcoin yet. Kim is apparently a big fan of btc so I don't get why he wouldn't be promoting its use already. Paypal is also notorious for shutting down the accounts of people or businesses they just don't like so fuck em. Hope he accepts btc as soon as possible.

But why hasn't he already? He's already spoken of the greatness and potential of bitcoin so doesn't make sense why he isn't practicing what he preaches. He could also just look at other payment processors for fiat acceptance. PayPal isn't the only one.

I think he didn't want to go "illegal" in every possible way so he chose paypal as a legal way.

This post of yours makes it look like you think Bitcoin as the "illegal" way. I'll believe that's not what you meant, but I question myself... When did he actually went illegal?

I think it's about time he adds BTC. If there's a person who wants to break free from the current system, it's him.

Yeah bitcoin isn't ilegal, though just because the gov says something is legal doesn't make it bad. The gov is all about control not necessarily what is better for their people.

Yes accepting bitcoin would be VERY important. Its a very good file storage and sharing site and people who use btc generally are pretty tech savvy so they both fit together. Also since paypal is ceasing support it looks like it will be one of the only options. IDK if they accepted credit cards but those look like they would have much fees and btc would be the most wanted by the company.

Yeah, there's always that... And the nuances between illegal, bad, and government-illegal.

Unless he goes full BTC, he'll have to find himself a payment processor. Both Coinbase and Bitpay are understandably keen to keep their noses clean and will be a whole load faster to drop a controversial service.

I'm sure they'll be able to find one, but if not maybe there's a gap in the market for a payment processor that will deal with companies the others wont.

Any company that's linked to a bank somehow is vulnerable to pressure. They're all interlinked somehow. Maybe they'll be able to lash something up but the day closed loops become viable is when things will really change.
