It's a noble thought, but a more realistic way of saying this would be, we should force all scammers to make a new account in order to post in the marketplace, thus guaranteeing their past behavior would be hidden.

I've been pretty patient with WoodCollector so far but with his more recent behaviour even I'm getting tired of him and he acts shady as fuck, it also makes life a lot more difficult for people here who are legitimate that are trying to get started. When some newbie comes along claiming to be a master craftsmen and starts ripping people off everyone gets ultra paranoid and it has a negative affect on the rest of us because they're less willing to buy and it also drives away any potential newbies too that might want to buy something off the marketplace because the angry, aggressive spam from WoodCollector and the scam accusations is the first thing they see.

To begin with this should have all been contained in scam accusations but because people just couldn't shut the fuck up and ended up flaming over it and now it's spilled over to all sections of the forum, it's one thing to simply scam people or rip them off on a business deal but the final straw for me was the charity raffle we got word about because that's fucked up.

This is highly inappropriate behavior for staff (or any adult for that matter).

Trials do not consist of a mob of people slinging accusations and harassing the defendant. There was no due process. Accusations were made, a mob rallied to harass anyone who disagreed, and simply because the timetable for releasing video for the impatient drama hungry mob was not met, therefore you and your ilk feel you have the right to continue harassing this man and anyone who supports him. Making a conclusion is not equivalent to evidence, and lack of your unreasonably high standard and time table for evidence is not equivalent to guilt. No, this is not at all how trials work. If it was you would be living in North Korea, not the UK.

As far as the charity, for one he didn't sell 20 tickets. The agreement I see posted says if he sells 20 tickets then he will pick a winner and donate 50% of the proceeds. 20 tickets were never sold for one, but he decided to be generous and give the water pipe to one of the two ticket buyers anyway when he could have just refunded the money. The total received would then be 0.2 BTC, none of which I think could be called proceeds, because clearly this would not even cover his costs. For the sake of argument lets say he should donate that 50% of "proceeds". That's 0.1 BTC. What a master thief he is stealing $21.50 from charities at a loss to himself! It was the perfect crime! By all means, please keep engaging in idiotic witch hunts against this user, it only demonstrates how thirsty you are for drama and retribution without any sort of due process. Don't let facts stop your pursuit of harassment and self gratification.

You see this is where we disagree and because of your distaste of the trust system and how scam accusations are raised it causes you to exaggerate to suit your point. You say slinging, I say valid concerns/questions/accusations were raised. You say harassing, I say people were making their case where they could. Did nubbins go about it ideally? Wood announced over a week before the raffel closed that due to the thread being moved and getting no traffic to sell tickets that he was going to have to end it early without the donation because it was not right to keep the two guys who already bought tickets waiting just because the mods moved the thread and it was not getting the traffic i was in the beginning. That was the responsible and respectable thing to do.

Wood handled the situation very professionally and with respect to the people who already bought tickets.

He did not have to donate 1 BTC out of his own pocket as the tickets were never sold, if you think that your just a moron.

He did not even have to offer it as an option in the first place, but dabs liked the idea.

This thread has nothing to do with anything more than BG4 and smoothie trying to act like they matter and have uncovered some great scam that has riddled this piece of crap forum.

I never took a dollar for a single miner. dig all you want, you will not find 1 single complaint that i took funds from anyone. The group buy was shut down. In no way am i denying that the VX miners got away with a pretty elaborate scam, but the group buy was shut down and i never collected a single satoshi.
