Hi ppl my first post here.

I have registered a Rippletrade.com account, passed KYC/AML policy to have all limitations lifted and bought some XRP.

As I understand, I should be able to add a Namecoin gateway in Ripple and exchange XRP to NMC. I don't see such option?

So I am thinking to ask, is it just me or Ripple.com gave up at all NMC gateways?

I think you might be a bit confused about how Ripple works... there are no AML or KYC limitations in the protocol.

Anyways, you'll have to look for a NMC gateway yourself, trust it inside Ripple and then you can use that gateway to deposit/withdraw NMC and trade them inside Ripple just as you like.

https://www.coinlend.org <-- automated lending at various exchanges.
https://www.bitfinex.com <-- Trade BTC for other currencies and vice versa.

I had to use Ripplewise.com to buy XRP (this was one of the options recommended straight in my Rippletrade.com account).
And Ripplewise.com does have a KYC procedure which without filling it you are limited to a maximum $5000 or equivalent in transactions.
To pass it I had to fill a questionnaire and submit some docs. That's what I meant to say. Thank you for your explanation!
