Hacks and scams are everywhere. Is it time to renovate the Internet?

The protocols that created the Internet in 1973 took Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn just nine months to write. The architecture was known as packet switching: messages were broken into small packets of data with address headers telling them where to go. Then, that data scurried through a web-like network of nodes and recombined at their destination.

Don't bother. The video is generally favorable to Bitcoin (mostly by reference), but the speakers are clueless. There are surprisingly few meaningful sentences -- mostly lists of buzz words strung together in order to sound like sentences.

Don't touch the internet protocol just yet, solve a similar problem of email spam first. There will always be scams. The technology is not the culprit, it's the people.

If they could figure out a way to seamlessly eliminate maleware, spyware, etc. that would be a huge win for BTC. BTC theft via malware is going to be in the news for a long time, and will honestly be a big deterrant to new adopters.

I can't see how they actually could do this, but it would make the net a lot friendlier place for your average user. Banks seem to have it largely under control.
