Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie in both bitcoin and altcoin. I've invested most of my coins in bit-x, giving me some "interest" om my money... I've read up on stake mining, and tought this would be a nice alternative to get some "divident" for my coins.

I know it's always a gamble to use altcoins, since the altcoin price might fluctuate heavily, but can you guys give me your opinions which coins would be best to stakemine? I've been trying to stakemine XMG, but so far, i've got nothing...

I guess the coin has to be trustworthy, around for a while, and give some return on investment after a couple of days... My initial investment in this would only be around $25-$50 (first try out if this is worth my effort)

most POS coins aren't trustworthy but run by scammer and p&d group (or at least many were like that)

Thanks for the reply, do you know of any that aren't run by a scammer or pump and dump, and still give reasonable revenue with a small investment?

Peercoin is decent but it is pretty damn slow but that's to be expected, with stocks you get 1-3% annually, peercoin is similar but I think around 1%.

Thanks! I'll buy some tomorrow, and see if I can get lucky :-)

Peercoin is the only "trustworthy," I use that term very loosely, PoS coin in my opinion.  Yes there are others but Peercoin is a safer route to go.  Lower reward but also lower risk.

HBN HoboNickels.

Been around for atleast 2 years. I am actually a holder myself and have been staking for over a year now, making TONS of interest. It had it slight pump and dumps and yea overall I have personally lost money, it was my decision to buy during a spike. The price has been steady for awhile and it seems like we are floating at 4k sats even though bigger wallets are selling off their interest. It has actual purpose of being able to stake for charity and it has a nice POS %.

You can buy a pi and stake on the raspberry pi (which I think is the best way to go) they cost around 30$ and will use $2.0 in electric if ran 24/7 for a year.
How much will you get from staking if ran raspberry pi a year?

I guess with solo mining without expensive hardware, it can only be profitable if you mine brand new coins, and hope they will be worth something... It just feels like gambling  Wink
