Hello all,

I just wanted to post a little development update

We've had some internal discussions relating to release schedules and have decided to prepare an intermediate release, to be released before the PoSP changes. This small update will contain the IRC chat functionality, new and updated translation sets (including Chinese) and a small tweak to avoid a false positive with VirusTotal for the IRC code. We feel that these changes are worth pushing out early as they will help as in our efforts to break into the Chinese markets. The majority of this work is already done (save for a few small IRC chatwindow bugs), so the release should be ready very soon (in a week or so hopefully). This wallet will not have any network changes, so there won't be a fork until we roll out stage 1 of the PoSP changes.

Yeah - I put in my 100-120 votes daily. We are still winning (going up) - I suggest that nobody from CBX downvote the leader... 1 extra vote for CBX = good for CBX, 1 downvote for leader = good for every other coin; so downvoting isn't worth it

This is not true. CBX is still a hybrid - both PoS and PoW. Not sure about active mining pools but hopefully some of the miners chime in here to assist?

PoS only will occur once the PoSP algorithm is implemented (scheduled for 4th quarter of 2015) - so the PoW miners still have some time.

Not trying to be a wet rag here or dampen the enthusiasm but i feel i have to mention this as i see potential for bter to exploit people voting here,  i stopped using bter seriously some time ago as i simply don't trust that exchange anymore (several tickets unresolved, they got hacked, they got hacked again   , bitbay scam, FIAT lost/stuck there).  

You mentioned the downvoting so feel i should point out the possibility for BTER manipulating voters here - eg owners see coins being voted on and downvote to milk trades/btc out of their users.  

imho a better chinese altcoin exchange to target would be btc38, which has much higher volume by comparison and a better reputation.

Well the more exchanges CBX is listed on, the more help with awareness for our Cryptobullion. But you are absolutely right, we are contacting http://btc38.com/ about getting listed there too.

Thanks for the replies. I'm still wanted to get in on CBX mining if someone could point me to a pool, Please. I'm small-time and not a farm. I know sometimes that helps to know so you miners don't think I'm coming in to over-power anyone. Responses?

CGB comes from Cryptogenic Bullion CGB, which used to be it's name, now it's rebranded CryptoBullion CBX.
Someone else will have to help with mining info.

CGB comes from Cryptogenic Bullion CGB, which used to be it's name, now it's rebranded CryptoBullion CBX.
Someone else will have to help with mining info.

Yes, thank you everyone; we have done it!  We will now contact Bter with this established fact in mind and ask them to fulfill their part of the deal, which is to include CBX in their trading platform...

In the meantime, please let's not stop the voting; because unfortunately someone is very methodically downvoting us, and I anticipate that this phenomenon will get worse over time until we finally trade in China.

Excellent work all! This appeared to be such an insurmountable task at the outset... and then with the obstacle of having to start again from zero due to the rebranding... if it ain't broke
don't fix it!

srsly CBX is 1 of very few functional hybrids
and the POW side gets nearly nothing inflation wise

so why mess with a good thing?
