Guys,
I am seeing some chatter in other threads regarding possible issues with Cryptsy. Most likely this is just FUD. Cryptsy has been around for quite some time and has been a great ally for CBX.

That being said however, I just want to remind the community that the safest place for your CBX is in your personal Vault. Exchanges are meant for trading not storage so please be cautious with trusting any third party with your finances. Better safe than sorry.

Nothing wrong with cryptsy, it's all fake, 2nd incarnation of the Merkle article. It's so obvious they try to hurt Cryptsy, they probably have invested in Paycoin thinking they were gonna win it big, until they lost and try to put blame on the exchange. The only thing responsible for such losses is their greed and dollarsigns in eyes.

Actually I just preordered the Mastercard from Cryptsy, will be great not needing to sell through another site which takes higher fee's.

* Checkpoints are added when necessary with new releases.
* Most recent release, Vault v1.3.0.0 has checkpoints up to block 960,000.
* Transactions have never been and will never be reversed.
* CBX does not have nor will it have merged mining.
* PoW will be removed in the next Vault release slated for Q4 of 2015 in which our unique proof-of-stake design PoSP (proof-of-stake-participation) will be released. http://bitcoinprbuzz.com/over-2-years-old-valuable-bitcoin-alternative-cryptobullion-cbx-announces-unprecedented-posp-algorithm-and-expansion-into-chinese-markets/

Looks like Cryptsy has imposed max withdrawal limits of the equivalent of $100 USD per month for standard users (Tier 0). One can upgrade to Tier 1 with photo ID, registration, etc where the limit is raised to the equivalent of $2000 per month if I am not mistaken.

Glad I do not keep funds on exchanges but I imagine this causes some issues for others Sad

CBX also trades at Cryptopia and Yobit... Any recommendations from the community should I desire to switch?

Cryptopia looks pretty good to me, do they have any withdrawal and/or deposit restrictions? What about Yobit?

Thanks in advance.

edit: photo ID needed for Tier 2, not Tier 1

I had mentioned that I recommended people to keep their CBX outside exchanges, at their personal Vaults. The only important thing to having a perfectly safe Vault at home is to copy the encrypted wallet.dat file somewhere outside the house, preferably 2 places.

Now this move by Cryptsy will make people move their balances out in droves; not that we have something to hide, its just that anonymity is also something people from the Crypto currency world greatly treasure. And its a fundamental human right.

The other main point about moving CBX out of Cryptsy is that the upcoming PoSP algorithm will pay more to bigger balances; and I can report that work on this algorithm is going very well.

Yes.

Also of great importance is to realize that with PoSP, interest is variable based on the number of CBX being staked on the entire network at any given time. If you don't stake your CBX, you forfeit your interest earnings to the CBX that are being staked. Holding funds on an exchange guarantees you miss out on your deserved interest earnings while forfeiting that money to the exchange or to the rest of the network if the exchange also decides not to stake.

Looks like the majority has spoken regarding transaction fees. I am pleased to announce that transaction fees will no longer be destroyed and instead will be included in PoS blocks upon release of Vault v2.0 with PoSP!

Great choice  Grin

Thank you everyone for your votes and participation; I think this is a very good choice because it will make the ownership and staking of CBX even more interesting. Has everyone purchased all Crypto Bullion they want, in order to get the desired amount of staking reward? PoSP is coming to a Vault near you ...

Thank you for your reply,
CBX transactions have never been reversed. That's great.

But why are you sure that they will never be reversed? What if there is an attack?

also how do you decide where and when to implement checkpoints?

Yea, don't be fooled. When BTC goes higher there is pressure on the altcoin prices, but at some point they will resist and shoot up as well.
CBX has been pretty strong in these type of moves and I'd say there are some good opportunities to trade.

Cryptopia is really a nice site with lots of features, hopefully volume will grow because it's still very low. They seem to be good guys running it too (ofcourse carefull with your coins).

Can't believe I didn't notice that there's a BTC/CBX pair on Cryptopia! (I will wait a little longer on the UNO/CBX pair.)

And yes, Finite, what BTCat says is true in our experience, so this should be a good time to pick up some CBX.

Thanks for feedback guys!

Not a lot of volume yet on Cryptopia even though my buy orders there are higher than any on Cryptsy. Where are the arbitrage traders???

Some good news for CryptoBullion, CBX has just been added to https://www.banx.io exchange.
Blockchain is all synced up and market is open for trading.  Smiley

This is one exchange I hoped would add CBX being one of the coins i support (i think i may have mentioned it in the past in the old CGB thread when it was still atomic)
it has a minimalist style (themes to suit color preferences), multi language interface, high security and an attention to quality that shows in features, and transparency not commonly seen or existent on the larger exchanges.  Its also never been hacked or compromised which is not a claim many exchanges can make these days.
I've found it to be a well managed alternative to the bigger exchanges, and never had any major issues or lost/locked out of my coins there.  Which is why i've had in my signature space for a while (and the referral which gives some ATP reward)
Exchange has been around for 2 years, previously known as Atomic-Trade, developed entirely from scratch by Byron who now is the lead dev/admin after he sold to and joined the Banx Team which rebranded it to Banxio earlier this year.

Its a good exchange for CBX imho as there is not an excessive number of alts here, so less noise makes it easier for CBX to stand out more then when mixed in with a zombie horde of alts Cheesy

Trade fees also recently reduced to 0.10% and only the coins network/miners fees for withdrawals (no profit taking on your withdrawals), so some opportunities for arbitrage may arise Smiley

Status page

Liquidity page

Coin Info window

Can change interface to for your native language, and themes/color preferences Smiley

Other notable features are internal messaging, ATP feeshare (every 6 hours fees are distributed), and advanced API https://www.banx.io/apis
Home page also provides some useful info like bitcoin ticker, news from several crypto news sites, and system messages.
They are on twitter as well https://twitter.com/BanxExchange

Check out the exchange if you havent before, i'm hoping that this will another place i can trade CGB and help keep our options open for trading without restrictions.

It is good that they are transparent about their liquidity, but if you look on their liquidity page you'll see that the sum of cold and hot BTC wallet is 29% less (20 BTC) than what they owe their customers.

That doesn't look like an exchange where I want to put my money...
