It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Hello guys...

it seems that I have lost track of this completely. So whats happening? Aptum or still Bullion?

Novaexchange has gone belly up - so one less exchange to trade on.  Not sure how many exchanges are left trading Bullion - anyone?

I guess trade on whatever other exchange is left, or save it for the swap. (Or don't swap and wait for moon, because after swap there will be less supply.)

They are swapping the coin for MOON? Well I would rather have less coins and make it more valuable for sure ;-)

Undecided oh boy! not good. seems I held on too long yet again.

I think it's better to swap. Not sure if anyone continues development on this one if the devs have decided to work on Aptum together.

I thought there would be a fork to create BXX. Bullion would continue as Bullion, and BXX would be swapped for Aptum.

Oh yeah, that's right. There will be a fork, and ... maybe a snapshot. So CBX will remain CBX, and then everyone gets the equivalent BXX which can then be snapshotted or swapped for Aptum. BXX will then become worthless after the swap, or when Aptum starts running. (Maybe there will be some time to continue the swap later, but I wouldn't count on that.)

Be interesting to see how many BXX are swapped. Will be somewhat representative of Bullions active supply.

I just read something about aptum, may not continue. Let's wait for official news, I could be mistaken.

Elambert has been solid for years, this merger or partnership, whatever it is to be, should be issue or disaster free because a lot of people do have faith in him based on his reputation.

Last I had heard the queue based masternode system was almost there? Bullion is a great name too.

There was a prior attempt to start a new CBX related project that did not end up taking place. Let's hope aptum does go ahead or that bullion does get back on track.

If the queue based masternode design was flawed or there turned out to be insoluble problems with it then that is fine, but it sounded all so very close to completion.. I believe they had turned it out on testnet for a while, so it must have looked promising.

To be clear I am a supporter of Elambert and hope that one or both of these projects does well in the future.

What happened to the other long term member of the leadership of bullion? I forget his name now?

Why do you think anything was ever done with regards of implementing masternodes on Bullion..? I start to doubt it... Undecided
This project was clearly put aside, because it doesn't generate money, and new *something* was started, to collect some money on ICO. Sad.
Really sad to see one of the oldest and most stable coins let out to die, though I understand everyone needs money, and noone is obliged to work for free. One *could*, but when he/she has spare time and resources. It looks like the developers' resources have dried up.

In any case, if there was really a progress made on masternodes, and there was a significant flaw or obstacle found during implementation, it would have been nice to listen about that from the devs.

What happened to the other long term member of the leadership of bullion? I forget his name now?
I guess you are talking about VonSpass..? He was the one working on masternodes. Looks like he fell in an unequal battle against Masternodes... Well maybe better to say - just disappeared. Here is his last post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=951753.msg45563225#msg45563225  Undecided. Sounded really promising at the time.

Truly saying, I was shocked to see the "Aptum" update from @elambert. Surprised in a very unpleasant way. Its like 'we are working', 'we will give the results in a month', then after a month - 'we are so happy to announce we won't release anything, but we started to work on a new thing'! This doesn't inspire confidence in the new thing either, and I am very skeptical in regards to Aptum (especially after I read very unprofessional communication from the lead developer, whose English was even worse than mine, and who was too concentrated on a smallest tech details, to be a leader of a really ambitious project with a 'vision'). Sorry all this probably sounds harsh, but this Aptum project really pissed be off, as it killed Bullion, in fact.

... this space is not for rent ...

On a lighter note. For those that have not been following the bullion telegram group. I've been working on getting CBX listed at a new exchange.

I'll make a proper announcement when the listing goes live.

Cool new exchange. USD, GBP and EURO deposits and withdrawals.

We will be starting on a CBX/BTC pairing. Currently in testing phase and will be live very soon.

Well, I'll stick around, see if I can help move this somewhere. I'm not a dev, so will have to look and see if we can get anyone to add masternodes or other features to it.

There were two attempts previously to do something. Spark, and then Aptum. I think, no need to do any other new name, just add features.

I've seen some old altcoins that recently got a dev to add masternodes, but the coin itself didn't do any other marketing attempts and it's still the same, although too early to tell. At least it's "alive".

Think it's a community effort now dabs. I'll try to do what I can, and this is a start I suppose.

Not sure if we now need or want masternodes. Bullion is good as it is. Just needs more attention from outsiders and a little help here and there from the community.

So if there is anything you can do to help out it will be appreciated.

Thanks

Elambert has never done any testing, not even to support his reputation of a caring and affectionate tester. He couldnt shoulder the responsibility, u know, and bites of doubts that its gonna end bad forced him out of his position of a leader. Guy had to backpedal and rightfully so. The next day he was sent an offer from Iiyama rep to onboard their logistics parent company in Indonesia registered to a dummy account overseas. Phony as fuck

CBX is already working fine as digital gold for +5 years now, it doesn't need anything added, it's feature complete now.

It either survives or it doesn't, simple as that. The ways to support CBX are;
1. Run a node and stake
2. Buy some more
3. HODL

Simplicity is beautiful!

a project that will not be updated and add new options in the end just closes.
on this you can’t just relax. it is equally important for them to make advertising and increase the number of users.
although look at all these golden crypto assets with suspicion.

BoomBoom is right.

Just a coin.
And just works.

The only new features you need are new community membership and economic usefulness.

The CODE is done.
