You must have made some off-topic posts in the thread or the thread was self-moderated and OP didn't want your post to be in his thread.

Especially with a sig ad, making useless posts and bumping old threads with them will probably get you banned, yes

please someone explain me that...

I think the reason for such deletion could be because they may be posts of low quality content + signature advertising. Basically they appear to be post done only to up post count for revenue. You continue down this road your account may receive a temporary ban due to this reason.

It's possible...but OP being a newbie with a paid signature let me considering also a possible low quality content + signature advertising reason.
We have seen scores of them before, how could we exclude such a possibility?

In the end it's very likely the reason for deletion was low quality + signature adsWink

It was deleted by a Moderator, if you don't bump old threads and do what the mods tell you too, then you will not get a ban. Just be careful.

A mod and an admin responded already, could you sig spammers stop posting worthless replies please? You guys are ruining the forum.

I and many other long standing members of this forum have tried (in vain) to stop the forum becoming a place where idiots post rubbish for payment.

But apparently the forum has decided that idiots posting rubbish for payment is fine (and in fact they can create as many accounts as they like to try and increase their payment of rubbish posts).

Perhaps the rationale is some sort of idea of "freedom of speech" but if freedom of speech means that you have 1000's of people "shouting nonsense" then I don't really see the benefit (as I would prefer a quiet bar to a noisy nightclub but perhaps that is just me).

And the excuse that "it's too hard to moderate" is just plain crap - I had reported every useless post with a sig for a month and it resulted in my reporting accuracy being brought done to a low % (despite my reports only being for pointless posts such as +1 which I thought was supposed to be banned anyway).

Thinking about that - when exactly did the mods decide that +1 posts are now okay (they are appearing everywhere now yet I do recall they were *banned* more than a year ago)?

(mostly they appear to come from relatively new accounts with ad sigs and they are generally not being deleted but perhaps people are not reporting them now because of their accuracy % being reduced for reporting as happened to me)

With CIYAM anyone can create 100% generated C++ web applications in literally minutes.

-snip-
Perhaps the rationale is some sort of idea of "freedom of speech" but if freedom of speech means that you have 1000's of people "shouting nonsense" then I don't really see the benefit (as I would prefer a quiet bar to a noisy nightclub but perhaps that is just me).
A good part of allowing (paid) signatures likely does have to do with freedom of speech. Just like in the real world, if someone is saying a bunch of nonsense then they will look like an idiot. Here if they say enough nonsense (that actually breaks the rules) then they will eventually get banned.

In reference to you preferring a quiet bar over a noisy nightclub, I would say that you are entitled to your preferences however just because you prefer one kind of bar over another does not mean that a nightclub will turn off it's music just because you would rather enjoy drinks in a quiet bar.

Just because people are saying things, it does not mean that you have to listen. You are more then welcome to use the ignore button.
And the excuse that "it's too hard to moderate" is just plain crap - I had reported every useless post with a sig for a month and it resulted in my reporting accuracy being brought done to a low % (despite my reports only being for pointless posts such as +1 which I thought was supposed to be banned anyway).
I don't think useless signature spam is too difficult to moderate. If you reported "+1" posts then the appropriate action would have been to delete the post and mark it as a "good" report (assuming the post did not have any additional content, if it had additional content then it may or may not have been against the rules. It would likely have not been against the rules if it said why he is "+1'ing" the post
Thinking about that - when exactly did the mods decide that +1 posts are now okay (they are appearing everywhere now yet I do recall they were *banned* more than a year ago)?
I don't think they are okay, if all they say is +1 then they should be deleted.
(mostly they appear to come from accounts with ad sigs and they are generally not being deleted - perhaps people are not reporting them now because of their accuracy % being reduced as happened to me)

I don't think most mods are going to go around patrolling the forum, looking for spam posts (including "+1" posts), they will rely on people reporting posts that are against the rules. The fact that someone is using a paid signature will generally not affect if a specific post is against the rules when you are reporting only a single post. Additionally if a post has enough information in it that you can say that you do not agree with what they are saying then it most likely does not break the rules

There's a duty on forum members to make constructive posts. It's VERY unfortunate that idiots make meaningless comments just to get their post count higher for a $0.15 of payment. However I think the instances of these bullshit posts are few and far between. And while it's fine that forum members report these bullshit posts to the moderator they shouldn't have to! The owner of the signature campaign should be policing their advertisers and refusing payment for bullshit posts. It's the only way that we'll all see a cleaner collection of thread comments and more constructive posts.

Some of the people here criticizing forum members earning income from signature ads are appearing VERY hypocritical. Some of these people (who claim to be offended) even have personal ads in their signature, so clear that their frustration could not that people advertise but rather that people are getting paid to advertise.

It's important to put this debate into perspective so that the right solution can be found...and so that the rule abiding, signature selling posters among us aren't being ostracized for our enterprising approach to bitcoin (especially from accusers who clearly display their hypocrisy in their signature.)

Signature selling helps grow the Bitcoin economy...increasing awareness of bitcoin companies, getting paid in bitcoin, using that bitcoin to buy goods and services.

I agree with you. I really think ideas like MZ's one trying to improve spam and other abusive posts reportings by paying a few satoshis to users after succesfull mods action can be a really smart idea. If Campaigns donate some of their BTC to it..this could end like a way to compensate Signature campaigns negative externalities (spam). Some sort of a Pigouvian taxation without resorting to taxes!
