I ve found an aold AM wallet I had but it wont sync.

Can someone post up a conf file ( all of it ) for me to get the wallet synced again.

Hi,

are you the Chris Landin from the good old days?

It is very easy to make your own .conf file.

1) create a .txt file and call it Aerome
2) paste the nodes I posted a few posts ago in it
3) save the file
4) enable the "make file extension visible" function in your file explorer
5) change the .txt extension by .conf
6) copy the file you just created here: C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\aerome

and you are ready to rumble

Yes, you can add a lot of additional code, but the addnodes are enough to get the connections.

Can you tell me when your block explorer will be synchronised? My wallet is currently showing 1041834 created blocks while your explorer shows 1017912 at this moment. Can you share the nodes you are connected to? I would like to add them to my conf file. Thank you!

Just deleted the chain and started from scratch... let's see if it will be up-to-date in some hours.

Well, it looks like there are different chains running side by side. I have two different wallets running and both are on other chains with different nodes. And it seems your block explorer is even on a third chain. I'll look at this closer.

If you uploaded a copy or your blockchain files, we could all just jump on them and sync up right? let the others die

does that mean that there is a forking issue with AM, and even if we are staking
we could get "false" coins?

Is there a way to know what is the good proper chain at this time?

MY wallet stopped syncing on August 19th due probably to a unexpected shut down.
I just realized now.

Now with that info, I m wondering if anyway all the staking rewards are "real" ;-)

Even with not a lot of coins, I get good amount of staking rewards.

Hope AM will survive and get listed at some point.

Since yesterday, I deleted all the files apart from wallet.dat twice
and now the wallet is stuck each time at 979689 remaining blocks to syn.

Is there something to solve this?

Try my copy of the blockchain, there's a issues with people being forked onto separate chains.

There are some syncing issues. I suspect there was a first fork around 1 april 2017. If you use Barto's files, you should be fine. Keep us informed whether it works or not.

The only thing I experienced is that I needed to delete / restarting syncing for my wallet.

And it took for ever, literally over 4 or 5 days (could even not remember)
to finally get on sync.

Which anyway could be worthless if on the wrong chain.

I guess, if the coin is dying, there is no solution for now

Right... just how to know on which chain we would have to be (to be the same), and be the main chain as well... or the original.

It is a little too technical to investigate this kind of things tho ;-)
