No, there is a long court case and police investigation still ongoing. Nobody seems to know how much longer it will take, or even how many bitcoins Mt Gox still has. All the lawyers fees are coming out of Mt Gox's money too, so that will leave the customers with even less money, if they ever get anything back.

Here we are discussing about the news of the bter.com situation : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=956738.0  It seems they will not enable the altcoin's withdrawal before the end of this week but it seems they want reopen their cryptocurrency exchange.

"Dear Sir,
If you have any Chinese bank account, please let me know which bank the account belongs to. I will help you to check if it is a supported bank by bter.

If you do not have any Chinese bank account, please do not worry.
You will be able to convert the CNY into other coins later

Please kindly follow our tweet for the update

Best Regards
BTER.COM"

Check your Bter accounts. They just tweeted this: https://twitter.com/btercom/status/575368822305091584

I was able to see my balance for my altcoin but haven't yet been able to test the withdraw functionality.

Withdrawals will be enabled eventually I would think. : But why not leave your coins on the exchange. Many people will.

Some withdrawals seem to be enabled already, and I've been able even to make a few trades by now. In my opinion, many people will refrain from trading until they are able to safely and reliably withdraw their money, though (and this looks reasonable)...

i was able to trade/withdraw and deposit yesterday so the site is basically functional. their repayment plan sounds reasonable too. obviously no one has any reason to trust them but it looks like they have at least taken steps to restore confidence. that would be a first i think for an exchange to come back from a fuckup of this magnitude. time will tell.

Their trading volume is a bit low. Looks like many investors have fled - unsurprisingly. Is everyone getting their withdrawals?

Yes, I got mine without a hitch, everything seems to be like before the hack. Deposits are also working (if that happens to interest you as well)...
