they didnt refunded after they reopened ?
No, they had some action of free trading or something.

But they overcharge you on any btc withdrawal. I wouldn't use them.. ever.

My coins were transferred to some BTC_B account where I can see them but cannot withdraw them. They are supposed to pay me back over time but have failed to do so.

I got rid of some worthless alts I no longer give a shit about the other day. Everything went very smoothly and the whole thing was over in a few minutes. I guess someone's still operating it. Maybe they're hoping their hack victims will just go away.

perhaps we could all donate some bitcoins to the enemies of bter.com so that they would either ddos bter to death or even physically harm the operators Cheesy I'm kidding but the general idea still suits the situation --- if you can't vote against your enemy then vote for the enemy of your enemy. if your enemy does not have an enemy: create it.

well... they have to pay the last hacking I guess... otherwise they lose every form of trusted site.
what sound strange, is the lack of repayment of the last batch... maybe they don't want become already " a big exchange" and choose to not invest this amount...
because if they was really hacked, repay back is an investment...

me to! I think they have tremendous number of customers. How could they survive in the long term? I don't think we will be getting our money back in the near future, probably never!

Yes this is a sad possibility or the "future".

But if they want to run out they have wait a lot of time... maybe in an optimistic view they want come back Smiley Smiley and be a good exchange!
Or they are wait for another " hacking "  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

This is their message on twitter :

The trading will be enabled soon. Please do double check your balances and the price in your existing orders.

19.53   March 10 (https://twitter.com/btercom/status/575368822305091584).

Latest update from Twitter:

The previous BTC balance has been moved to BTC-B which will be used as the reference for 100% compensating our user's BTC loss.

I hope they allow BTC-B to be traded. That way those that do not want to wait to be repaid (or do not think they will ever be repaid) can sell their BTC-B to more patient/hopeful people.

Do you all think there are any good trading opportunities that can be taken advantage right after trading resumes? Obviously there will be a rush to withdraw all types of coins. Is there any reason people would really want to buy or sell a certain coin after trading resumes?

Agree. I have had coins on 7 different exchanges which were hacked or scammed, and I believe BTER will handle this well. I will continue using them if they are around in future.

Bter is doing a really GOOD JOB despite all the critics. Other exchanges in their situtation has closed the doors and run away.

I have written in account balance
BTC Pending BTC_B   0.3227 - 0.0779      total 0.322685
it has been there like last half year... Huh Huh
what does it mean?
they gave ma back 0.0779 BTC? but where?  does anybody patient wants to buy my trading account with 0.3227 BTC with some decent discount? You will get also many dust from DOGE or LTC and XCP and XRP as a premium

I can also sell my account at Cryptsy with 50% discount for some patient trader. Cryptsy is legit, I am sure they wil recover all funds once they get access to that 13,000 BTC. You can earn a lot of money dont miss your opportunity  Grin

1. develop an altcoin trading platform
2. set up multiple domains running the same software but a differently looking GUI
3. every year create one new such domain
4. every year destroy one such domain and run away with its coins saying "it was hacked"
5. repeat for unlimited profit

I hope Blocks and Chains Decentralized Exchange gets to launch soon so exchange hacks would become a thing of the yesterday.
