If someone were to buy a significant amount of them what would happen?

The person who does it would take the risk of BTCX's attack going through. On the other hand... The hashrate would go through the roof making it more and more unlikely to go through.
I don't have the BTC to do it, but if anybody who has would risk it this would be an amazing opportunity.

All my LTC are in my wallet.

Litecoin want's to place itself as silver is to gold.
If bitcoin hoarders were goldbugs they should have some LTC if the above statement were to come true.
