Just to report guys that a week or so ago I was recommended intersango.com for managing/selling my bitcoins and that I did use them to sell my bitcoins.

I then requested a withdrawal of funds which the following day was marked as "sent". A week later and the funds still had not appeared in my account, at this point I raised a support ticket drawing attention to this and was then told that there had been a delay and that I should hold on. Another week has passed and still no funds.

I've raised another ticket but don't remain hopeful.

I will keep you guys updated.
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

While we were previously under the impression that the problems we were having with Metro bank were due to a technical issue on their end (as this has happened before), we have been told that our account activity is being reviewed and that we must be patient during this process. We have faith that our contact at Metro bank will properly investigate the matter. They have indicated that they do not require information from us at this time. The resolution time we were given was around 1 week, however this is just an approximation.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

Don't exchanges get their bank accounts frozen all the time every two weeks?

Yep.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

Thank reporting this.

I don't think there can be more red a flag sticked to Intersango than their current Bitcoinica flag.

Hi Guys,

I'm going to bring this thread back to life to inform all that intersango completely ignored all my tickets with regards to why they haven't transferred the money. The initial replies were "please wait"; now nothing. My losses are limited to £40 so while it is annoying, it's not the end of the world for me.

Of course what they didn't know when replying in a wholly unprofessional manner to my tickets is that being an actuary I work with guys from the FSA on a daily basis. Needless to say I've passed on the info to them and they're going to send the issue up the line. Given the nature of intersango's business and their apparent lack of professionalism I wouldn't be surprised if they are taken down some time soon.

Really? Now their main business is dying too? I did not expect this from people placed in charge for taking care of the Bitcoin London event. If that will ever happen that is....

<helo> funny that this proposal grows the maximum block size to 8GB, and is seen as a compromise
<helo> oh, you don't like a 20x increase? well how about 8192x increase?

Indeed, you'd have to be hopelessly naive incredibly optimistic to believe that there'll be no confrontation at that event.

I figured I'd contribute to this thread to get Intersango to resolve an issue for me.I sold off all my BT at £10.20.The issue is,it was left in limbo as the price rose and then suddenly dropped without me noticing.I really don't understand what can be causing this or whether this is another red flag or not. It's worried me a lot as I could have made nearly £100 from the trade as well. Please sort this out Intersango. Also what's the connection with Bitcoinica and Intersango so I can get up to date with the news (haven't been on here in a while)? Thanks.

This topic has more and more implications. The situation as far as we know could be the following:

1) Bitcoinica goes bust
2) Intersango money used to cover up Bitcoinica in desperation
3) The desperation grows and money from the event in London are used to cover up Intersango

Now this could all be 100% wrong, but since 1 has failed, and 2 seems to be failing, we could be reaching 3 soon.

So guys from Intersango, a bit clean up please?

Another issue I noticed that I'm concerned about is the fact that a withdrawal I made over 2 weeks ago has yet to be processed. For the amount of £72.65.Support has responded but I've yet to recieve my money.Does anyone know how to contact trading standards and FSA (financial services authority-covers mostly banks but does cover other stuff) in UK?Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Smiley
