New Bitcoin Version Releases And New Features Are Exciting

Many software updates are not a big deal, like a new version of FireFox or your antivirus scanner. And in the case of things like Flash and Java updates, they are actually a pain in the royal ass and I hate them.

But If you're like me, there's just a few software updates that I find I look forward to: significant iPhone iOS update, Windows major new versions, and Bitcoin version updates. The iOS and Windows ones are much less these days and I'm starting not to care so much about those.

But I noticed I get the most excited about Bitcoin updates because it brings promise of new and enhanced features and performance. And this enhances the future potential of Bitcoin for the planet.

Even though version 0.10 just got officially released and out of beta, I find I am eagerly awaiting the next major version to see what cool and exciting features it brings.

well, aesthetically if nothing else the wallet needs an update

Well, personally I feel more thrilled when a new company starts accepting bitcoin or some bitcoin company raises millions of VC.

I'm not using the BTC core software, so I can't share your enthusiasm, but I'm eagerly waiting for the next block halving. That one is a big issue.

Bitcoin is better and better every day, i just hope that will be only constant in future. Personaly, i wish qt can make paper wallet in safe way and simple to do. Also i would not mind if blockchain could be faster to sync.

Yeah I was looking for it because the current versions took ages to download the blockchain, the new upgrade is much faster.

I also look forward upgrades on my favorite games like 7 days to die and space engineers.

You do know that 0.10 implements faster syncing, right? Someone was able to fully sync in 12 hours, which is hella fast, and someone else did it in 16 hours. Normally you had to wait two-three days for a full sync. I'm sure that if you have a computer with i7, glass fiber and a good SSD, you can download it in under 10 hours.

The new feature is really amazing. When I see it, I will be excited. It will off course increase the of usibility and security of the bitcoin what we, most of us want.
