1. BS&T and PPT will forever (if they still exist years from now) decrease interest rate payments due to the rising demand for bitcoins, the rising difficulty to mine bitcoins, and the block halving every 4 years (one upcoming soon).

2. Pirate trading with customer funds makes him somewhat of a "money manager" which the last time I checked you need to be licensed to do that sort of thing. Then again with bitcoin, the law is hazy.

3. People trusting Pirate with their bitcoins without expecting pirate to truly reveal his identity (personal information/contact information) is shady. Now now, meeting up in Vegas isn't much more than a stunt to keep people "comfortable" with investing with him.

4. With Pirate being in Vegas and interest payments being cut in half just about and another round of payments coming up shortly, isn't the the market oddly quiet? I think this confirms what we know based on market movements that he is a big player in the bitcoin market of trading.

5. At some point the gig will be up. There is a threshold coming soon (no predictions) that will likely force Pirate to return everyone's funds (if he can) or run with everyone's funds.

6. If I'm going to "gamble" or trade with my money and possibly lose...i would rather lose because I bought or sold at the wrong time than to have someone else (i.e. Pirate) do it for me and lose it.

Feel free to add below.

Don't be surprised if PPT/Pirate/BS&T joins the names like MyBitcoin.com and Bitcoinica.

Ugh, how many of these bloody threads do we need!!   If the mods in this place were chosen for their mod skills rather than their trolling ability we'd just consolidate the million other threads on this subject into one, like any other normal forum would.

Why do people get so pissy about threads?

I can understand getting mad about an asshole cutting you off on the road but a thread on a FORUM!?!?!?!?!

OMG it's the end of the world.

Ah fuck it, get on the ignore list you annoying twat.   After all this has blown over and Pirate has or hasn't defaulted I'll take you off, but for now I just can't stomach the same old bullshit coming out of your mouth constantly.

EDIT:  Screw it, I'll just report the thread, see if anything comes of it (who am I kidding).

The thread wasn't even meant to troll.

This is the speculation SUBFORUM. And I am posting about speculation.

Where am I going wrong? Or do you just like to cry a lot?

My one comment: The chances of the above happening increases with every increase of the BTC / USD exchange rate.

Concerned that blockchain bloat will lead to centralization? Storing less than 4 GB of data once required the budget of a superpower and a warehouse full of punched cards. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/IBM_card_storage.NARA.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punched_card

Because:
1) There are already SO MANY POSTS about this subject. When pirate changed his rates, there were at least 6  threads simultaneously occurring on this forums all talking about it. It is/was too hard to keep up with the topic because it was ongoing in too many places at one time. The mods did a horrible job of locking/redirecting threads, and in my mind continue to do so (no offense mods, my two cents).
2) This subforum is for speculating ON THE PRICE OF BITCOIN. I wish the mods would either enforce that or change the description of this subforum. Can I speculate on whether or not pirate's next fart is going to stink? I hope not.
3) Unnecessary clutter is unnecessary.

Rolo is totally right. Every other forum I've been on would have consolidated all these threads into one in a heartbeat.

I'd say that someone with rumored 250k of BTC and god knows how many USD in the market is very much relevant to the price of Bitcoin...

Yeah but his post doesn't address pirate's operation in relation to the price of Bitcoin. Furthermore, there is already a thread on this subject here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=91508.200

Literally every item in smoothies list above has been discussed on this forum, ad nauseum. His post brings absolutely nothing new to the table. That thread is less than 8 days old, this discussion belongs there.

Ugh, how many of these bloody threads do we need!!   If the mods in this place were chosen for their mod skills rather than their trolling ability we'd just consolidate the million other threads on this subject into one, like any other normal forum would.

Why do people get so pissy about threads?

That is simple. They are a part of the scam and they see new threads and any mention of ponzi as an attack shortening longevity and magnitude of their scam. What they are doing is a p2p ponzi and they are effectively co-conspirators. This goes for all those intermediaries, which I see personally as scams that are as bad as the ponzi itself. This goes to all those who decided to gamble while being fully aware of this being ponzi and who are here on forum with a marketing mission of promoting their scam because they benefit from this (by defrauding others).

We see here p2p technology and principles applied in attempt to dillute guilt.

This is simple. Ponzi scheme is a form of fraud and all those who promote it, including, operators of various intermediate "investment" vehicles and other promotes of ponzis are in my opinion as guilty of fraud as the direct operators of the ponzi scheme.

Now here is a very high chance of imminent collapse of a ponzi scheme with lots of things pointing to this. The sooner the better.

EDIT:  Screw it, I'll just report the thread, see if anything comes of it (who am I kidding).

Two things I noticed about you:

1. You erased your original post in this thread.

2. Your signature says it all. You dont think pirate will default and given that you dont like having people put up logical arguments that support him defaulting/running....you pull the "oh not another thread" argument.

Right before his supposed meet-up, he opens the "trust" to anyone, no referral/invite necessary. LOL

Looking forward to a bunch of posts from people wondering about their withdrawals... poor saps  Roll Eyes

Where can I find evidence of this?

Furthermore, there is already a thread on this subject here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=91508.200

Literally every item in smoothies list above has been discussed on this forum, ad nauseum. His post brings absolutely nothing new to the table. That thread is less than 8 days old, this discussion belongs there.

That may well be true, I was only disagreeing with your second point.

Where can I find evidence of this?

Does that post mean that the 500BTC 'trust deposit' is no longer required?

Also, way to go on making another pirate thread, I never would have thought to do that!
