I was disappointed with the episode.
I was hoping that they would go further with explaining Bitcoin to the laymen masses.

Didn't talk about using the blockchain/ledger system for non-currency use.
Didn't talk about halving processes or deflation.
Didn't talk about cryptographic security.

The average person watching this episode will walk away and say "whatever".

I support a decentralized & unregulatable ledger first, with safe scaling over time.

Senator Joe Machin was the only FUDster I saw.  Of course he basically admitted he didn't have a clue yet wants to ban bitcoin anyway.  That is the type of people who pass for government officials these days.  Other than that, I thought it was fairly neutral.  Good Job CNN.

Yes. People fear what they don't understand. He also stated:
1) it can be improved with government over site
2) The Fed should be the overseer

The .gov has a stellar record with currency. I can't wait until these old politicians are extinct.

There's an inverse relationship between the use of Blockchain technology for something other than cryptocurrency, and the price of cryptocurrency. At the time this show was filmed Bitcoin was still worth enough to overshadow anything other than "It's money! Use it like money! You don't accept it? You don't get my money!"

The average person doesn't care about your three "Didn't(s)" mentioned above. They care about using it as money.

An hour long program on CNN about using Bitcoin? I think it did the best it could while remaining objective. If it delved into anything beyond the money aspect too much, people would watch this episode and walk away and say "what?"

CNN. Average at best.  Tongue

10 minute clip?  Thought it was some special feature, meh

It was an hour long show, interspersed with a good amount of commercials. I scanned a few of the QR codes when they were flashed across the screen for fun.

Lol. they did a pretty good job explaining the Tor Network.
What does Tor, Mt.Gox, or Silkroad have to do with living on bitcoin then?
Average Joe - "Oh boy after I buy my $25 worth of coffee, Im gonna go on silkroad and hire me a hitman, with my bitcoin today".

It did not say much about the bitcoin technology. At least it is not negative, so people who watched it will not be scared away. We need more coverage on bitcoin on CNN and Bloomberg like this one.

I think Morgan did a great job. Not too technical, entertaining and without any extra unnecessary drama. For someone not familiar with btc, it was educational too - at least on a basic level. I guess that's good approach.
