I uninstall, reinstall, and then when I try to boot, absolutely nothing happens.  No error, nothing.

Task manager indicates "PokerUpdate.exe" runs for about a second and then immediately crashes silently.

Running it from the command line also does nothing.

I am seeing exactly the same behavior; I've also uninstalled, re-downloaded, rebooted, and re-installed several times. What OS are you using? I'm on a clean install of Windows XP running under VMware Fusion on a Mac.

One other I noticed is that running swcclient.exe directly results in an error message about inet_ntop missing in ws2_32.dll. Perhaps PokerUpdater.exe checks for an update, finds none, runs swcclient.exe in a way that hides the error, and then exits when it fails.

I sent this information to support@swcpoker.eu earlier today; in the past they have been quite responsive.

Here is OK, i uninstalled it and download the new installer, installed it, it was successful. Maybe only support can help you. Tongue

Hmm, the uninstall/re-install worked first time here.  Hopefully support is able to get it fixed for everyone.

Haven't noticed any disconnects yet either...

I like the new "Display Chips Received Dialog" option and the "Blocked Chat" list that shows who you have blocked.

Was hoping this update would include an update to the active player box though.

Not a huge deal but I think it helps make it easier to follow who the action is on.  I'd even give you the one I made.

Also not really important... but the clock keeps resetting to UTC every time I re-open the client.

1)  if you are having issues email us, we've been able to help most get back on

2)  this latest big fix has produced stable results so far.. again, not hanging the "mission accomplished" banner on the aircraft carrier just yet, but so far so good...

3)  if you can actually get in.  The uninstall-reinstall pain point has been painful for some.  We are working on our installer to better help clean it up.

big <3 ot WearsMyLiberty, we'll start working on UI and visual things soon too.

I understand, connectivity is the most important issue and should come before visual stuff.

The boxes are just one image file though... and even with my 3rd grader quality MSpaint skills it only took a few minutes to adjust.

Been using it since the beta testing started without issue.

If anyone else wants it:

I just opened mine up. It is showing that SWC is offline at the moment. Am I to assume this is right? Or am I the one having issues? There's been so many times in the past week I have seen this, I'm rather unsure right now.

I am also having this issue so your not alone.  Along with every now and then it connects claiming a non existent update is needed, compared I installed it fresh just a bit ago with the source from their site and then tried again with another fresh download just to be safe incase they had released a second update.

It is up.

If you haven't uninstall/re-installed with the new update from today, do that.

If you have and it still says offline, try Help -> Force Reconnect.

Installed Vista on a new virtual machine.  Now the client comes up and doesn't do anything, just says Client must be restarted and shuts itself down when you click Okay.

This is the difference between Badeucey and Badacey. In Badacey aces are low and straights aren't bad.

Has anyone had any success installing the new client in virtual box? If so please give some details.

I've tried a couple of different clean installs of vista and win7 still getting the 'client needs to restart' prompt endlessly, i've reinstalled it countless times.

Thanks for responding.

Connecting/Reconnecting doesn't seem to help me in vista or win7. What windows version are you using? Do you remember exactly how you did it?
