That does sound good, perhaps that will increase the traffic on the site as well. And like the hands tournies, this can't be taken advantage of.

Thank you, yeah that was just a rough brainstormed idea... but the basic idea is something I think would work.

Either way though, I'm confident that they'll come up with something good.  I offer suggestions but I still trust that they know what they're doing.

Should actually be on the top of their list, and should have actually been the first one to launch, since I believe the html client already existed on the previous site which had the same software.
HTML client essentially will allow all operating systems to play, whereas now its only limited to Windows.

SwC doesn't have the same software as Seals did. They bought a Windows client from Grid Poker. (Which is soooo far beyond Mavens it isn't remotely comparable.)

I think we're all in favor of having an HTML client as soon as possible, but I for one have no desire to go back to playing on Mavens. Give them the time to develop it.

Yeah, the software that SwC bought and built on was Windows only.

That software was pretty nice before they got it, but there was still a lot of work to do improving and adapting it to SwC before being able to switch focus to building other clients.

They've done a really good job too.  It's been improved a lot since they started working on it, and the current version is even a lot better than when SwC first launched.

I think that the real shame was that it wasn't possible to use both.  Ie, a windows client for you all who use that stuff, but mavens or old seals android or whatever it was for the rest of us. I know I stil haven't been able to find a regular bigcoin poker game in 2015 because of this.

Yeah, I agree that it sucks they weren't able to do that.

I think the original plan was just what you said... they wanted to continue running the old SealsWithClubs as a separate site while they built, tested and launched SwC Poker.  And then when SwC was fully ready to stand on it's own, with all the platforms built, they'd be able to retire Mavens and move everyone to SwC.

But when they decided to close Seals their message said they couldn't trust the old Seals 1.0 software going forward due to "a number of operational and security considerations".  So they weren't able to pass that off to the new team to use with SwC.

Even though I'm already on myself I'm still looking forward to you and everyone else being able to get back on.  We're going to have to have a party or something to celebrate when the day comes.

Maybe they should have continued running the mavens software then. The shift has lost them a lot of customers and people who used to play on the site. Even I thought their plan was to launch the new software, roll it out for testing, and when they had the html and windowns client, they would release it.

Launching it before, definitely costed them a lot.

I agree.  While everyone says this new software is far and above what mavens offered, in the end poker needs players more than fancy software (imo).  Anyway, hopefully we'll all be happily playing again together in swc in a few more weeks Smiley

One thing I've asked about above but never heard anything on is when they are going to allow us to create logins on the website to check our accounts, etc.  If they're eventually going to make an html client then they'll sooner or later need to do this.  And for those of us without windows, we could at least log in and get our krill transferred and set our passwords and whatnot.

I think to have your password reset you need to have an email on the account.
If you don't then,  "To recover other accounts please email support@swcpoker.eu" is what it says on the site.

Right, that was the original plan and would've been ideal.

But unfortunately that wasn't possible.  We don't know the details of what happened, but they said the old SealsWithClubs software running on Mavens couldn't be used going forward because of "a number of operational and security considerations".

The new team's choice was either to launch SwC 2.0 as Windows only, or have nothing at all.

When you click the "Log In" button there is an option for "Forgot User ID/Password".  If you hit that they'll email you a reset code.

How often do you guys process withdrawals?

From what I've seen it's usually averaged about an hour or so.  If it's a slow time it might take 2 or 3.  They say it can take up to 12, but that's like worst case.

If it's been awhile or if you need it done quicker you can try asking in the lobby to see if an admin is there monitoring and can help you out.

Is there a way to change the clock in the tournament lobby?

Yeah, if you click on the clock you can adjust the time zone.

It is sad for me to see SWC in a current state.

When I started to play on Seals, more that 2 years ago, the software was barely playable. We played anyway because Seals was unique idea, management was engage,
they fought for every player,Mikon played every day with us,did his bathrobe videos,we had  krillrols etc.

It is different now.
This site looks like old tired seal waiting to be eaten.

SWC need players in all stakes. Rake race is not the answer.
This would be more appropriate in my opinion.

I don't understand why there is no non turbo MTT after 8pm EST, that's peak hours on SWC.

Micon had to flee the country with his family, there's a warrant out for his arrest.  It seems hes either never coming home, or spending all his money on lawyers, fines plus possible jail etc...

It is different now.

Yes it looks different.  But theres decent action at all stakes, and tons more options for games.

11:30 pm est on a sunday night

Because they take too long.    If there were 20-30 people that wanted to play a tournament every night that took 3-4 hours, they would schedule one.
