It would be nice if there was an audio alert when a seat opens up while on the waiting list.
By your request, we have shipped this feature in our latest set of client updates. Just tested it, works great. Thanks much!

SWC_poker, any updates yet ? This would actually have been a perfect time to launch the clients specially with the WSOP happening . Was really pumped to play some poker but didn't have a good site to play on.

Same boat here, no one really catering to non-windows poker players at the moment. There must be tons of us. I know there aren't a hole lot of GNU/linux people, but i figure there are tons of OSX users and android users.

Isn't it working with wine? I don't think that client is so complicated to make it work...

I haven't tried it with wine. I generally have a distaste for wine as it installs a whole bunch of packages on my computer and then runs terribly slowly on my already crappy hardware. Wine is sorta like a last resort for me, as I said I don't even keep it installed. I don't know if anyone else has tried it with wine and had success. If someone out there has tried this and can say that it worked for them, that would make me slightly more interested in trying it out (so that hopefully I wouldn't have to install all of those wine packages just to find that it doesn't work on wine).

There are still sites that are offering to Non-Windows OS , but for me I have always played on Seals and Stars , and just like to stick to them. Stars isn't always an option for me as I keep moving out of the country and back every month , and in some places stars can't be used. However it is also only the good one which offers OFC as well , which is another game I like playing. Had similar problems with wine or any other emulator. They install tons of other packages on mac and slow it down , so only for this it isn't really a good work around.

However, at the moment, I'm a bit shut-out. Supposedly this is going to be changing soon, I'd love to hear an update on the eta of the first alternative client.

Is it the biggest bitcoin poker site out there? I saw about 180 online users and its quiet low amount. I think you should do a small refferal bonus to make people advertise.

No, NO.1 is betcoin poker house, there are thousands of players online in betcoin, and there are about 400-800 players join freerolls, even the total pot is only 10 USD, so many people like playing in betcoin poker. SWC is surely No.1 cos no other poker sites have this traffic compared to SWC poker, and no.2 is good though. Unless they offer more casino games, sportsbook like betcoin, or it has to be no.2, hardly to be no.1.

They already have an affiliate program: https://swcpoker.eu/affiliates/It's actually pretty generous if you have a good network of contacts to refer. The old sealswithclubs often had between 300-500 players online in the final months, which is a respectable figure in my opinion. It was enough that you could find action at basically any stakes at almost any time. That's not something that I've found elsewhere, but then again, a lot of the other provides ask you for dox or they don't run on linux or some other stumbling-block. Nowadays swc is without it's non-windows people. I think once they straighten that out they'll see their numbers basically double from what you're seeing now.

I agree about the number of players, and you know what, 300+ can be enough. About the affiliates, I actually dont have any specific plan of advertising as they write in the page, but I believe that I can bring at least 10 players in my ways with small investment of time and money. And i believe there are more like me.

Sadly it doesn't work with wine, lobby shows up for a split second, then it crashes with this error: err:seh:raise_exception Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr (nil)
Maybe there is a trick to get it working, pokerstars works so good with wine :/

Yeah, you should at least send them an email and ask. Just tell them what you posted here. Sadly it doesn't work with wine, lobby shows up for a split second, then it crashes with this error: err:seh:raise_exception Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr (nil)
Maybe there is a trick to get it working, pokerstars works so good with wine :/ I don't know anything about it myself, but maybe email support and they might be able to help get you configure it? The 1.25k Overkrill is coming up at 7:10pm PT / 10:10pm ET

Maybe there is a trick to get it working, pokerstars works so good with wine :/ Think seh means "seals error handling?" Thanks for trying this, if you hear anything from the devs and you get it working, let me know. I might be convinced to give wine a try myself if at least one other person has succeeded.

"Betcoin" is a larger poker room because they have affiliation with other poker room, where mostly they do pay in USD that's the reason you see a lot of players.
