Hello, is there any way to see the type of tournaments that are offered before installing the software? Like how many freerolls a day, fees, buy-ins, GTD tournaments etc.
I'm starting to try out some poker rooms, but I like to get some info on them before installing software etc, because if they don't have what I like there is no point in installing and creating an account.

Thank you!

It takes 2 minutes to download and and open an account and you will then get an accurate view of what you are looking for.

They have freerolls every 90 minutes.  Mostly 5 chip ones with some 15 and 25 chip ones as well.  For the larger ones you need to earn 1 krill which is easy to do.  You earn krill by playing tournaments or cash games.  Yes they have GTD tournaments.  Most tournament buyins are from 1 to 20 chips with some larger ones as well.

1000 chips = 1 btc.

Thanks for the reply.
I know it only takes 2 minutes, but I was just trying to avoid creating an account and installing software I was not going to use. But if it is like you said I should give it a try. Anyway, can you tell me if it is easy to play at 2-4 tables at the same time in micro/low stakes?

In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

To answer your question, it depends on the time of the day, but finding cash games is usually not an issue. Right now there are 2 different 0.02/0.04 tables going.

Ok thanks! Now it makes sense to take those 2 minutes and try out the room xD

NP. As a heads-up, we're at a down time as well (late in most places). In the day there's usually a lot more on cash tables.

hmm when I was installing the room something strange happened.
At the end I got 2 windows open from the Bluetooth manager and I could not close them. I had to kill the process. Any idea why this happened? It was related to the poker room, because it happened the 2 times I installed the room (just to see if it was related).
I tried google it, but I got no relations.

That is strange. I have installed on XP, Win7, Win8, Win server 1012 and now win 8.1 and that never happened...It could be you have a Trojan or virus. I would run Scan with Kapersky.

It's a strange behavior for a trojan or virus. Those things are supposed to be silent and not open windows xD
Anyway I will check it out, it's probably just a weird bug.

Not all virii are the same. That's like saying someone couldn't be a robber because he didn't have a gun.

And I've never experienced that issue before, or even heard of it...

I know this software is closed-source and proprietary so we can't expect a github where we can see which commits address which issues.  But I wonder if the devs could open up the issue tracker, or make a public one, so that it'll be easier to tell what issues have been reported, whether a fix has been submitted, etc.

I second this idea. Most places (I deal with online gaming, so this is at least my experience) have a tracker so users can report things.

Ranlo is right.  It does depend on the time of day and what games you are trying to play.  But if you're looking for lower stakes action you should be able to find it most of the time.

Sometimes there is more action and sometimes there is less.  It only takes a few people willing to play to build up tables.

Sometimes you might sit and only have one or two other players at your table, but then when you get 3-4 players others will join in and fill the table up.  I've gone from only playing with one other player to having multiple tables running pretty quickly.

I posted this a few pages back, and this was 4 tabling during the middle of the night:

On the top right of the table there is an "Action Request" button that looks like an exclamation point.  When you press that it posts a link to your table in the main chat lobby.  That helps bring in more players.

And while you're playing 2-3 handed at tables with 6 or more seats you are also earning 50% rakeback.

That is cool. Seems like SWC has come a long way since I last played there regularly. Its a bit surprising you guys have continued to develop the site so consistently despite the recent disruption.

50% rakeback is really nice, did not know about that. I haven't deposited yet because I started playing on another room and I was being able to play at 3-4 tables so I was ok there, but it only gives me 10% rakeback I think. I guess I will try to get more "serious" on this room.

Huge Sunday lineup that includes the 5k, 20k, and 75k Krillrolls coming up,

Starting with The Little BTC in about 10 minutes:

That's over 10.5 BTC GTD just in those tournaments... plus there are more tournaments and small freerolls running in between and after.

Thats definitely a good lineup. Perhaps they should spend that money on expediting other clients. Already been 6 months + extra testing time since they launched the new software without the mac or html version . Not the best move on leaving out the other client users for that long .

Or Android/linux and gnu/linux, but I agree.  I think that apparantely they did some analysis and some large majority of their biggest players were using windows.  But I also can say that if sealswithclubs.eu had been a windows only binary download I would have never tried it.

I sorta wish we could have mavens back, even if it was just temporarily.

The 5k Krillroll is starting right now, and The Medium BTC starts in 1 hour.

Should be enough time for your deposit to get 1 confirmation if you need to send one.

Chips have been added to the winners' SwC Poker accounts.  If the winners would also like a hat mailed to them, please email affiliates@swcpoker.eu and we will dispatch a hat, free of charge, in recognition of a top krilling effort. The "Krill Leaderboard" promotion will run again this week with the same prizes.  SwC reserves the right to modify the "Krill Leaderboard" promotion at any time, so get to krillin' this week and compete for free chips and a free SwC hat!
