A good programmer is someone who can make a Wordpress website.
Isn't called web developer/designer?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I have the feeling the old falling out (old SWC to new one) also had an impact on security protocols. To me, the security of knowing I can withdraw will always be a top priority. Always. No point in playing somewhere if you never even know if you can get your money out, so I'd rather SWC do whatever is needed to ensure that's never an issue.

Old Seals had a security model that was good. SwC has a security model that is great. Old Seals was built with no concept of security model from the beginning. While all the Old Seals code was very well implemented, there were lots of things that required very active management, particularly public facing web architecture making live queries to critical databases.

When we started over at SwC we began enforcing a more rigid security model from the beginning. Web infrastructure has no ability or access to game infrastructure-- everything is kept strictly in its own silo. Every single process with potential attack surface is meticulously audited for all forms of memory corruption and parse tree differential attacks. They are also only run inside carefully crafted environments deploying the state of the art in protections against the malloc funny business- SEHOP, ASLR, DEP, PaX, etc. We use bcrypt for hashing. We use disk encryption across the board.

One thing that we are doing way, way better at SwC than Old Seals is assuredly security. We have vastly improved on this compared to the old site.

The new windows-only software is significantly better than the Mavens software, but the lack of support for Android, Mac, Linux and HTML has noticeably reduced the numbers of players.  If they do not develop and release the other software versions it will hurt them (and it already has).  SwC knows it.  We know it.  Competitors know it.

SwC is still our best hope for worldwide Bitcoin internet poker (and especially in a certain country).

Keep it alive.  And SwC, get your act together.  Quit dicking the dog.

I agree with everything TippingPoint said here. I love the new software but I'm a Windows player. I wish we can get more action on here. The main thing is other platforms. Hopefully it's not too late.

Using VirtualBox w/ Win 10 now, SWC works fine with "Bridged adapter" setting. Still I think Wine support would be nice, especially for slower computers, but at least I can play some poker again Tongue

Depends on number of entrants, but last one had 15 players, I believe, and first place was 2.2 btc (RazzleDazzle shipped it).

Interesting. That gives the account a lot of potential value... considering one win could more than pay for it.

the problem is when you check the previous tourneys with same number of entries which is 11, it pays up 4 places. it should have been the same right?

This site will never gain more popularity until you do a serious rehall of the software graphics. I'm disappointed.

I think I have some really good ideas if you are ever interested in long talks on a future project.. I could only wish I had time and money to create my vision that I bet would crush any competition in a matter of weeks to months.

Even possibly expanding to people who wouldn't normally use Bitcoin.

What's wrong with how the software looks? It's not much different from the tier 1 major networks.

Are account selling /transfer allowed in this re-newed swcpoker as they were in old good sealswithclubs? Is there any official statement from swcpoker management?

Or may anyone post some mail from swc administation answering this specific question?

Is there a rest period that the trasnferred account must respect as it was in swc if I remember correctly?

Any information is welcome and then I'd consider purchasing a high krill account.

Thx in advance for your help
